Griffon Extra Blonde : The first time I drinked it, I thought that it smelled like white wine "Sauvignon Blanc".
The smell is amazing! Fruity and hoppy like no other! This is one of the best smelling beer I know of.
Taste is very hop oriented, very similar to the Ste-Ambroise but less hoppy. However, the hops is prominent and I really like that kind of bitterness.
Mouthfeel is fresh and tangy, in a smooth but hoppy way.
I think this is one of the very best Blonde beer from Quebec.

Served from a 341ml bottle to a tumbler
A: The generic beer color. A golden hue topped with roughly a finger of white head that retained quiet nicely and left some decent lacing as well.
S: Not to much on the aroma honestly. Maltiness is made evident as is a slight bit of pale fruit.
T: Very mild in flavor and good in balance. Caramel malts lead the beer but are balanced appropriately. The beer is not overly sweet or bitter and finds a nice mix between the two. A tad of fruity esters are also available, more so as the beer begins to warm. Hops are really not that present in flavor and just provide a balancing bitterness. Perhaps a tad grassy and herbal but really not all that detectable.
M: Smooth and creamy. Carbonation is done well and makes for an easy drinking experience. Body is medium.
O: Its okay but nothing really special. Decent to sit and drink 2 or 3 on the porch but for anything more then that you should look into a better beer.

total let down for me, this was a watery blonde ale without much to write home about. it pours pale and clear straw color with almost no head, just some snow white frothing for a few seconds. it smells like watered down pale malt with little else. dull and majorly uninspired. the flavor is that of a standard blonde, its moderately refreshing, but that may be its only redeeming factor. it sort of has a grassy outdoorsy aftertaste, which is its most interesting component. this is a beer for non beer drinkers, or for those who dont really pay much attention to whats in their glass. light body, little carbonation, blah blah blah. mcauslin makes some wonderful beer, i imagine these griffon brews are their line of average joe stuff, because frankly they just arent very good. still i would much prefer these offerings to their american counterparts.
