473 ml can from LCBo poured into a pint glass.
Appearance- Nice copper / gold looking beer poured into glass. 2 fingers of light fluffy head rest on top dissipating almost entirely in the next two minutes. Slight soapy cream left on top. Nice lacing on the glass and beer is clearly effervescent.
Smell - Big apricot nose that is quite sweet. Not a whole lot else there maybe some caramel aromas thrown in for good measure but by and large it is only apricot. Slight vegetativeness after the first couple of sips becomes detectable. Also a vague honey scent is perceptible.
Taste- Fairly sweet apricot, but not over-sweet, clearly enough bitterness in here to determine that this truly is beer. Sweetness only last the initial bit in the mouth, after that it subsides and you are left with a beer flavor full of malts and a bit of a fresh grassy taste.
Mouthfeel - Rich but a bit syrupy especially on the first couple of gulps. After that, the beer goes down very refreshing and the carbonation adds to the fullness.
Overall - One of my favorites from this brewery and does not suffer from the thinness that i detected in the raspberry. Probably doesn't help that i am enjoying this on a wet, dank October day, this is a beer meant to be enjoyed on a rooftop patio during our short Canadian summer.
