341 ml bottle, 2010 vintage.
A- The darkest, blackest beer I've ever had. Good foamy head with tight frothy bubbles that are a light brown (moka/cocolate) colour.
S- Coffee, smoke, a touch od alcohol out of the top of the bottle. In the glass, more of the same plus a note of citrussy hops. Avery nice blend of aromas overall.
T- Chocolate, coffee and hops bitterness up front. Taste of alcohol in the finish, but not overdone. Reminds me of good coffee liqueurs, though less sweet. Plenty sweet for a beer though. An interesting bourbon note in the alcohol finish. Personnally I like it, but then I like a good bourbon over most other whiskeys.
MF- Soft and warming, even when quite cool in actual temperature dur to alcohol. Definitely one for late night or cold evening sipping. Fairly thick feel, but not overdone.
D- A very good sipping beer. Watch out for that alcohol kick.
