Stopped in here for the first time this afternoon. While I've been to many BevMo!s in the past, this is the first one I've been to in the greater San Diego area.

I know there's a pretty negative stigma toward BevMo! on this site - rightfully so - but this one's got a pretty solid selection of American craft. While you aren't likely to find any "rare" offerings, this location does carry complete lineups from AleSmith and Firestone Walker; a lot of Deschutes (including Obsidian Stout), Victory, and Jolly Pumpkin; and most (if not all) of the bottling San Diego breweries. The imported was limited to lower end, widely available, and/or large brewery offerings (typical of all BevMo!s). However, you're bound to find something you'll like here.

Everything else about this BevMo! seemed typical of the entire chain: workers that will offer "help", but hardly know anything about beer, wine, or liquor; few bottles kept in chilled, though they move product pretty fast; a warehouse-like setup; average prices with few deals.

Definitely check out Plaza Wine & Spirits next door first! If you don't find what you want there, check out BevMo!

Looks like a normal Bevmo, wide open space, high ceilings, warehouse feel, but full of alcohol.

They have a very standard assortment here, nothing special/limited, all the same selection you would normally find in a Bevmo in this part of California. Everything is well organized by country of origin.

The store looks large but beer only takes up 3 mini aisles, one of which is macro.

Not much staff around, if I wanted help it would have taken a long time to find any, but they seem friendly. Everything is well priced but not too desirable.

There is a smaller liquor store literally next door to this establishment, that has plenty of cool stuff not available in Bevmo.

First a disclaimer - I've been in here a couple times to check out the selection, but never bought anything. BevMo moved in here just over a year ago (or so), right next to an existing neighborhood/mom & pop liquor store which I've frequented for the past four years (and which carries a very good selection of beer!).

Basically, this is your typical BevMo, though a bit smaller than some. The beer selection is pretty good, especially with regards to California beers, and typical imports and other craft beers from around the US. Conspicuously absent (as is usual for BevMo) are beers from Dogfish Head, and some others. I was a bit disappointed in their rather meager selection of Belgian beers, however. Prices are, again, typical of BevMo, though I've noticed that with more places (from grocery stores to liquor stores) carrying a better selection of beer, their prices don't seem like anything amazing.

The little interaction that I've had with their employees (asking a couple of questions about their stock once) was not that good. They didn't seem to know very much, and it seemed that they were annoyed at having to deal with a customer.

I have no need or desire to go back in here. If there's a beer that BevMo carries that I can't get elsewhere, I'll go to a different BevMo location. Just don't want to support a place that's trying to put another place out of business.

This is a very nice store in a very nice neighborhood with a very decent selection of beer both foreign and domestic.  The staff is helpful, and the 'Mo' part of the store is also nice as it contains a lot of beer/wine/liquor accessories (picked up a neat 'Brewzkey' bottle opener that has the appearance of a key but works as a bottle opener . . . hmmm). And there's a Fresh n' Easy Market right next door in case you need anything more substantial than crackers and cheese. Good pricing all around, and they offer even more discounts if you join their BevMo Club. Highly recommended if you're in the area.
