A – Dark brown/burgundy color, tan head, bubbly, almost see through at the edges
S – Chocolate, dark fruits (figs, plums), belgian yeast, molasses, black licorice, caramel
T – Big chocolate and dark fruits (figs/plums) at first, belgian yeast taste, candi sugar, molasses, dark malts, caramel, coffee, nutty/chestnut notes too
M – medium body, not very much alcohol warmth, would be good with dark meat/steak/chocolate, nitro smoothness, coats the mouth
O – great beer, reminds me of Trappistes Rochefort 10, I'd say it's more like a Belgian Strong Dark than an export stout, I would have it again in a heartbeat

On tap at HopCats. Pour is very dark brown; fairly clear with a small but durable head that leaves a good bit of sticky lacing.
The aroma and flavor are complex and rich, and certainly not like a typical export stout. In fact, this seems more like a Belgian strong Dark to me. However, there is a substantial component of dark roasted malts mixed in with the molasses, cooked dark fruits, and burnt sugars.
