Notes/Commercial Description:
Our west coast India Pale Ale. Brewed with huge doses of hops (almost 20 lbs. per batch). This beer features loads of piney, citrusy, hoppy flavors and aromas. Floral and grapefruit notes throughout. This bronze colored beauty is highly recommended by the brewer.

Had as part of their tasters rack at the brewpub.

Appearance: Pours a clear copper color.

Smell: This was surprising. Almost no hops in the aroma. A lot of caramel malt, but no hops to speak of.

Taste: Ah, there they are. There are the hops. This is a classic example of a hop bomb. There were some complex flavors here, but they were hard to pick out.

Mouthfeel: Lightly carbonated, very dry at the end.

They stated on the menu, almost bragging, that they used 20 lbs of hops for this beer. Clearly too much. Expecially with the aroma, it really sneaks up on a guy. An okay IPA, but I don't think I will order a full pint.

had this on tap at the brewpub, looked great.

Whoa, citrus in the nose like crazy! The smell is incredibly in your face with citrus. It is slightly overpowering.

Lots of floral hops on the first sip, with not enough of a malt backbone to support all of those ibus. I also would have liked a thicker body and mouthfeel as well, as it was rather dry - probably just my personal taste with that one though.

One of my favorites (if not my favorite) from Court. It nearly tastes like a double IPA. Fresh hop and citrus flavor balanced by nice clove and coriander notes. Smells of hops with a dark amber color. Not overly drinkable, but extremely smooth and wonderful tasting. The key thing I noticed about Court's beers was that even if I wasn't a huge fan of the taste, they all had a great mouthfeel (very smooth).

I enjoyed this beer from the comfort of my own living room. From a growler to a standard pint glass. A friend brought this growler back to me and it sat for about 2 weeks before I could dive into it.

Appearance: Pours a hazy, deep orange color with a thin off-white head that didn't stick around for too long.

Smell: Slight citrus aroma but more in the grassy hops arena.

Taste: Same as the nose, but kind of flat. Perhaps it sat too long?

Mouthfeel: Light-medium bodied in feel. A little carbonation and sticky. Not too shabby.

Drinkability: Again, this might have more to do with the length of time this beer sat, but I didn't find this a very drinkable beer. Kind of flat and tasted a bit off. Not sure what that was. Overall, decent nose and mouthfeel, but lacking in the taste category.
