Oak-aged blonde ale was the current brewmaster's specialty on-tap today. Honestly my expectations were low, and this was an amazing surprise from the brewery. Nice oak flavor mixed with citrus; it smells like citrus and is quite drinkable with a smooth and malty mouthfeel. By far the best blonde ale I've ever tasted. The oak balances out the fruit flavors (ie grapefruit) making this beer great.

Had as part of a tasters rack at the brewery in Des Moines.

Appearance: Very pale yellow. Slightly cloudy, just shy of transparent.

Smell: A lot of fruit. I got a lot of citrus and some banana.

Taste: Similar. A lot of fruit with some citrus, banana and peach off the top. There was some slight spice like cumin or coriander toward the back.

Mouthfeel: Smooth and very drinkable.

This was a refreshing summer seasonal beer from Court Ave.
