Considering that the only place besides Polywoda's to buy beer is a couple of supermarkets, such as King Kullen, with a pretty anemic selection, and a few package stores in Greenport with neon budweiser signs in the window. This place is like an oasis. Who wants to hike out to Riverhead to get good beer. Pollywoda's looks like one of those old places that you once bought soda by the case and returned the bottles. There is still a lot of soda to be had in the store. There is a cooler in the back full of decent beer, some cases to purchase in the main aisle, and some singles and some 750ml near the entrance. If this place were located in other places, it wouldn't be anything to write about, but given its locale, the place is really good. They do rotate their selection as far as I can tell. I had my first Innis and Gunn Oak Beer at this place.
Re-review July 2009: The cooler in the back has less interesting beers and more of the macro suitcases. The interesting beer is really on the shelf as you walk in. I had a Sierra Nevada wet hop ale, plenty from Schmaltz brewing, a Rogue Hazelnut brown ale. There is an interesting assortment. The cases stacked in the middle of the store are pretty standard fare.

This is the only place for beer on the north fork. If you are on nf and like craft beer?/ then this is the place for you, they always have those good beers in Stock. Very good place, friendly people and there prices are the cheapest I've seen, were talking 2 bucks cheaper per 6 in comparison to rh beverage.
