Final stop while in Philly, the wife and I had about an hour and a half to kill, and this place was really close to where we were staying, so we ducked in for a couple of late afternoon beers.
Cool looking on the inside, long, dark, with a nautical theme, but they pull it off, and it didn't really look cheesy to me. They also said they are expanding outside, which looked like it would be nice for a fall day like we had while we were there.
Quality was good. They had some CA stuff, Founders, and local craft beers as well.
Our server was very cool. She was friendly, chatted with us for a while, and was quick as well.
Selection was on the small side, but the choices they had were solid.
Prices were standard for Philadelphia.
Overall, not a bad little bar, worthy stop.

Always tough to judge a spot having gone there once, but I won't be going back here ever.
The vibe of this place is unnerving, not chill at all - loud as hell (the place is fairly large, seats maybe 80+, and was busy on this night), lights turned up way too bright, high bar-top almost at your armpits, awful dead cobalt blue paint at the top end of the walls, cold exposed brick on the bottom... the decor reminds me of the hallway/waiting room in a professional office in an old, restored masonry building - ugly, flat, modern cookie-cutter furnishings... This is a sports bar done up like a trendy seafood house or white-bread yacht club.
Never been here before. Service was a little pushy. Bartender asked me to start a tab or close out immediately. Guess this ain't a PAYG establishment. Kinda like to be able to at least sit and relax a moment without feeling scuttled along.
Got a beer, took a few sips before I noticed the glass was cracked. It happens. Not while I'm bartending, but it happens. The salmon part of the sliders I got were prepared more like cafeteria croquettes. At least put a heads up on the menu of what it is you're really serving between those buns... Whatever... Honestly, the food menu is pretty extensive, seemingly having a lot of potentially decent dishes and something for everybody. The draft list is bottom rung craft-oriented while the bottle list offers a bit more of a decent, expansive selection - nothing notable though.
Hate to be a bitch, but I kinda gave in to staying and giving it a chance, even though I wanted to leave the second I sat down. Feels like a waste of time writing all this, but the concept and execution of this joint is off-putting. Had to pass that along. Avoid this spot!

DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ITS CUSTOMERS;
CANCELS RESERVATIONS - JUST TO EARN A BUCK
Yesterday (NFL Championship Sunday), my fiancee made a reservation for a party of seven at Misconduct ahead of time, and our reservation was confirmed. Our reservation was at 4:00pm. At 3:30pm, a representative from Misconduct Tavern called my fiancee to tell her that they were CANCELLING OUR RESERVATION, because they had lots of walk-ins and decided to give our table away. Last time I checked, the entire point of making reservations was to ensure you had a table in the event that there were too many walk-ins. Moreover, my friends were coming from 45 minutes away, so CANCELLING OUR TABLE A HALF AN HOUR BEFORE OUR RESERVATION was extremely inconvenient, since now we were scrambling to find other accommodations for a large group (which included children), while simultaneously redirecting my friends who were already on the road. Finally, management had the audacity to offer to move our reservation to the next day, even though the entire purpose of our making a reservation was to make sure that we would be able to come in, sit, and watch the game as we ate and drank.
I have no problem with an establishment that does not take reservations, or does not take reservations on a day where they expect lots of walk-ins (Championship Sunday or Superbowl Sunday). However, to take our reservation ahead of time, then cancel it a half an hour before, is extremely rude and unprofessional. Regarding a party of seven with children in particular, management at Misconduct Tavern should have known that it would be difficult for us to find another establishment with only a half an hour's notice. After already confirming the reservation, I would think that a professional establishment would deal with a slight loss of income that comes from holding an empty table for half an hour, rather than destroy the good will of its customers to earn a half an hour more's worth of profits. I have to conclude that Misconduct Tavern is NOT a professional establishment.
BOTTOM LINE I recommend that anyone considering Misconduct Tavern should look elsewhere. There are too many good places in Philadelphia for you to be spending your money here.

This is a fairly big place with a definte nautical theme running through it. The dark woods and brick make up a cozy feel to the place, and there are plenty of pictures of ships on the walls. Very large bar here. Several TVs are on showing sporting events. Also plentiful and super clean bathrooms here which is always a plus.
There were about 12 beers on tap including such beers as Stoudts Pils, Brooklyn Pennant, Yards Pale, and one from Ommegang. Nothing outrageous or hard to find but if you are looking for a good quality beer you will find it here.
Service for me was friendly and prompt. I did not have any of the food. Overall a comfortable place to have a pint or two.

This place is my favorite place in Philadelphia. Have been going there for the past 4 years and will continue to go. They have great food, local breweries on tap, and a massive bottle selection. They also have a bunch of other liquor but because this is a beer website ill stick to the beer. They have many craft beers on tap from the Pennsylvania, Delaware, areas. Atmosphere is calm, cool, and energetic. Many televisions (plasmas) on the walls. Perfect place to go on Sundays for NFL or watch Phillies, Flyers games. Highly recommend this place to anyone arund Locust and Sydenham.

I really liked this place and I'm not really sure why I haven't gone back yet. There is a nautical theme going on, and overall the place has a good atmosphere. I stopped in with my husband before I went to work and I had one of my favorite brews...Voodoo Cowbell Stout on nitro. Selection wasn't too extensive, but still very high in quality as to what was on tap. All I needed was my Voodoo and I was happy. Service was good...we were pretty much the only people there so we got a lot of attention which was nice since I was pressed for time to get to work.
Food was really good. Comfort food done well. Plenty of choices and the prices were very reasonable for both food and beer. I hope to stop in again here soon...maybe not before work next time so I can really enjoy sitting back and enjoying the brews.
