PouRed from a 12oz bottle into a standard pint glass.
A - pours a light tangerine that is very clear. A two finger off white head builds and develops frothy pockets from the carbonation. A fair amount of lacing resides.
S - very nice. Hoppy with notes of citrus, tangerine and mango.
T - hop forward as expected. Starts off with lots of pine, that moves to tangerine and tropical notes in the middle then fades back to piney on the back end. A somewhat earthy, almost stale, slightly sweet note is apparent about 3/4 way though - Ive noticed it on some homebrewed beers that were Columbus hop heavy, so maybe thats it. A firm, slightly abrasive bitterness lingers. Some tropical notes reside on the late palate, pairing well with the bitterness.
M - medium- full bodied. I think it's a little sweeter beer than I like but the atrong bitterness helps hide it a little.
D - fairly easy to drink. Not something you can drink down like CBC IPA, but moderately drinkable considering the high IBU and ABV.
Overall, an excellent IPa I will pick up and drink any day of the week.
