Pours a clear orange with some yeast sediment, two fingers of white foam that settles to a thin ring with big splotches of lace on the glass. Smell: grapefruit rind, apricot, big simcoe dank blast. Taste: tangerine, tropical note, rindy, soft biscuit in the back. Sweet, drying finish. Well done.

12oz Bottle received in trade with iguenard - thanks!

Appearance - Slightly hazy gold colour with an average size white coloured head. There is an average amount of carbonation showing and there is some great lacing. The head lasted for around 4-5 minutes before it was gone.

Smell - Malts, hops, apricots, grapefruits, tangerine/orange zest

Taste & Mouth - There is an above average amount of carbonation and I can taste malts, grapefruits, and hops. There is also some caramel and apricots and oranges/tangerines.

Overall - Tastes kind of like a Sculpin mixed with a Red Racer. Very good stuff that I would love to have access to locally.

The beer comes in a clear reddish amber.

The aroma has some stone fruits like nectarine and peach, orange peel, some sweet tropical notes. Big hits of dankness on the end.

The flavor hits of immediate grapefruit bitterness. Hints of sweet citrus and then some sour pineapple and mangos. A light white bready malt. The finish stays aggressively bitter of grapefruit juice and peel, almost some spiciness and floral in there as well. Almost a white wine drying as well. It's an extremely bitter IPA.

A fruity and very West Coast bitter IPA. Next to Columbus IPA and White Rajah, White Rajah won out slightly over this.

This was one of my goal beers on my Ohio buying trip and I was not disappointed. This ale pours a very cloudy copper color with a ton of sediment (god I love unfiltered beers). The head is off white and short lasting but the lacing is quite substantial. The nose is a delicious blend of bitter hops; both citrus and pine. This offering smells very fresh and lively. The taste totally follows suit; all hops. It is a sparkling delicious and fresh ipa. Not complex but awesomely is what it is. Think hopslam but smoother and a little less in your face. This is a great beer and will pick up every time I'm in Ohio.
