Special thanks to Phyl21ca for sending this beer out west in a great trade.
A:Giant 3 fingers of creamy bone coloured head, it settles down in large craters and chunks. A hazy apple juice colour, with a few larger pieces of sediment suspended.
S: A smooth pine scent, presumably from the malts that tone down the sharpness. Yeast and bread blooms after a solid swirl.
T: Hoppy in the front with strong pine and pithy lemons. Middle notes of sweet caramel malts which leads to a lingering bitter finish.
M: Medium bodied with low carbonation which leads to a smooth finish.
O: Much greater amounts of malts than what I was expecting which results in a very smooth brew. Lots of hops and a nice bitter finish yet very balanced.

Read that mrandypandy was going to the brewery in a random mass BM and going to be at a bar in Atlanta a few days after so he graciously got me a 4 pack and I'll forever thank him.
Appearance: Pours a bright orange color with a finger of a white head.
Smell: Smells of pungent hop aromas. Super fresh smelling with tons of tropical fruit and some pine. Sugary syrupy sweetness on the end.
Taste - Taste mirrors the nose with a lingering candy like taste at the end that sticks around. Some bitterness on the end.
Mouthfeel: Medium mouthfeel.
Overall: In my top 5 IPAs ever. So much tropical fruits, sweet liquid candy flavors. So good.

Poured from Bottle to a pint glass
This is my first review. Please bear with me.
A - Golden/amber, light on head. I think about what I'd expect from a beer heavy on hops and grapefruit
S - A citrus/hops floral punchy wind gust in the face with heavy grapefruit and pineapple dominating the bouquet.
T - Grapefruit is the major player here, along with the hops, then the pineapple and pine come in. Hoppy citrus IPA with a coppery pine hops aftertaste with reoccurring pineapple. Somewhat bitter.
M - Medium bitter and a little dry on the tongue. Not over carbonated
O - Aroma is impressively refreshing....perhaps more refreshing than the taste. I am not a huge fan of IPA's so my enthusiasm may be tempered but I recognize this as a quality hoppy IPA. If you like a hoppy IPA, this probably rates above average, but i would not call it exceptional.
I'd probably try another beer for my second beer if the pub had other choices I adn't tried yet.

Had this on tap at the Pittsburgh location and took a couple bottles home for the formal review. 12oz bottle poured into a snifter. The brew appears a clear golden orange with a white cap a finger strong that fades to a thin film leaving a full wall of sticky lace. When held to the light, some yellow is seen around the edges.
The aroma is quite fresh and hoppy with tropical and rindy zest aspects like grapefruit. Some herbal component is minorly grassy as well to break things up. Seemingly no indication of malt or alcohol, this one is all about the hops in the nose.
The flavor is bitter with grapefruit rind and zest. Some grassy and herbal component blends into a lingering taste that is zesty and like pulp. A very dry bready grain flavor persists into the aftertaste as it warms up.
This is a medium bodied brew with a modest amount of carbonation. It is clean, crisp and easy drinking. A very solid IPA that I would drink regularly if given the chance. I paired this up with some sharp cheese and could not stop devouring both. I need more of this.
