12oz bottle from the 7.9.14 batch, enjoyed out of a teku

A: this looks absolutely radiant in the glass: bright golden orange with faint hues of copper. not much head or lacing, but very bubbly

S: great blend of aromas. there are notes of candied oranges and marmalade, and notes of sweet, peppery onions or chives. all of that is tied to a thick, concentrated smell of piney, resiny hops.

T: grapefruit pith, some of those candied oranges from the nose, and juicy, resiny hops. the finish is dry and bitter.

M: star of the show. it's light and refreshing, but creamy, smooth, and full-bodied. pretty much the epitome of a beer that's flavorful, refreshing, and endlessly drinkable.

O: this beer is proof that all is not lost in Ohio

12 oz bottle. Date of 07/14/14, just under a week old!

A: Clear copper body, with a strong pour it produces a finger of head. Decent retention.

S: Yup. West coast hop bomb. Tons of citrus from the "C" hops.

T: Delicious hop flavor, more of that citrus. A fair amount of bitterness as well. Very similar hop bitterness to a lot of Stone IPAs. Light malt backbone that keeps this one pretty dry and bitter towards the end. This one leans towards its west coast influences, which I'm a huge fan of.

M: Good for the style, moderate carbonation. Soft.

O: Delicious IPA. Definitely worth the hype, at least when it's this fresh. I would drink the hell out of this if I lived in Ohio, but let's hope that never happens.

I poured it into a glass, it has a gold color body with a small head to it. The aroma has a piney smell to it. The taste is in your face hop explosion. Pine notes and slight bitterness follows. The mouthfeel is good, well balanced and leaves a hop aftertaste on your tongue.
