Bottle purchased at Pace High Carry-Out in Columbus, OH.
Pours a clear golden dark orange, with a 3/4 inch head and globs of lacing down the glass.
Bright and vibrant citrus aroma, quite dank. Slight herbal smells too.
The overarching citrus character carries over into the taste as well. Definitely some orange, pineapple, and grapefruit. The only malt character I can pick out is honey sweetness, whit ich complements the juicy hop flavor well. Not very bitter, doesn't linger on the palate very long.
Starts a bit sweet, but finishes dry and slightly crackery. Medium body, crisp mouthfeel and low carbonation.
A great IPA, been looking to try this one for a while now.

After its recent 2nd silver medal I decided to review an old stand by
Poured into a Voodoo Tulip glass from a 12 oz bottle that is 2 weeks old
A- A clear medium amber color, maybe a finger of white head that clears quickly, leaves a lot of good lacing. I'm more of a fan of murkier IPA's. That is just me though
S- You get pine right off the bat and lets you know this is heavy on the Simcoe. Smells like a basic west coast IPA. You do get some grapefruit/pine apple once it warms up. I'd like the smell to project a little more but it does smell good.
T- Resiny pine good-ness, Grapefruit zest, Tangerine, light cracker like malt, slight sweetness up front. The ibu's hit your middle then front tongue. The bitterness is pleasant and does linger a bit. This is where the beer shines and I think that is whats most important
M- Thin bodied but certainly not watery. Good usage of IBU's. great bitterness.
O- This is a stand by in this area and you can see why. Very underrated beer that should be getting a lot more attention from national beer drinkers. Classic west coast style IPA but it does fall short of the upper echelon IPA's. Do yourself a favor and get this beer if you haven't.

Availability- year round...style- IPA(west coast style)
Abv- 7.5%...87 ibu
Bottled on: 12/20/13---enjoyed on 04/14/14
A- pours a golden hue (5-6srm), slightly off white head sits well and slowly descends into the beer leaving a small thin layer of foam presenting itself as you enjoy it.great lacing helps this beer appear as sexy as my girlfriend looks(actually she is the most beautiful in the world).
S- a bouquet of tropical aromas like grapefruit, pine, citrusy sweetness, and pineapple. As an aggressively dry hopped west coast style beer, be prepared for a hop blast of bitterness aromas and resins qualities. If you like IPAs then you will fall in love with the bitter resin aromas that travel through your nasal cavity showing an intimidating robust bitterness that also showcases fruity aromas as well as lightly kilned, malt aroma.
T- "uncivilized and aggressive" and it's 100% true! A perfect blast of hop bitterness that lingers on the palate and sits so well as you dive into a fruity, citrusy sweet, pineapple, aggressive pine and grapefruit astringency that tingles the side of the tounge. Fits all the characters that IPA drinkers look for when they are walking threw there local beers hop. Very robust bitterness and fruity astringent characters. Hops are up front and upholds its bitter characters.
M- medium/full bodied,, carbonation is there but doesn't play a major role in the beer. The bitterness is preserved from the first sip to the last. A blast of bitterness upfront followed by a slight sweet tang and astringency (like chewing on grapefruit skins, notes of ripe grape fruits are as clear as sight).also in the middle the bitterness over powers all. On the finish a bombshell of bitterness lingering on the palate yet still silky smooth enough to enjoy another point after you finish the first glass and trust me you will want more, it's effin amazing.
O- a viscous yet playful IPA, showcasing its bitterness as a perfect example of a west coast style IPA. Very tropical and piney aromas lure you in for a taste and showcases its flavors of citrus, pines grapefruit, pineapple and luscious resin character. Great IPA if you want a hop blast of flavors and aromas.
Cheers my friends drink and share your experience with friends and family you never know they may take it into consider ration when they are shopping for beer! Peace love and beer
Food pairing- very sweet desserts like carrot cake, caramel cheesecake or crime brûlée. Also for a more robust plate try smoked beef brisket with this ale

Pours a golden color with a hint of amber. Off white head that holds fairly well before fading into a medium collar and wisps of head across the surface. Fair lacing. Aroma is bold citrus (grapefruit and lemon) with some resiny pine and a bit of pineapple. Medium body and high carbonation with a good hop bite. Taste is complex. Grapefruit, pineapple, pine and floral hops all intermingle and compete for attention. The aftertaste is piney, grapefruit in the front. I had this with two weeks from bottling and the flavors were much more pronounced and played better. This was written from a 3.5 week old bottle.
