Big Thanks to Michael Gabor for letting me taste this one!
This is like drinking a hop massacre, so many hops went into this beer it's hard not to appreciate it if you're a big hop head. Appears a beautiful amber orange color with some redish highlights. It smells fantastic giant hop dankness and resin, grapefruit, a whole bouquet of citrus in the nose. Taking a sip, this beer might have the longest journey I've tasted from beginning to the finish. It starts with that nice light pineapple and peach, some orange, moves into mango and citrus peel, keeps going on the tongue into a burnt hop phase, then caramel, then the malt and hops finish together with some VERY pleasant bitterness. Mouthfeel is very carbonated and gives it a huge prickly and tingling sensation in the mouth, medium to full bodied for an IPA.
Overall I think they should have called this stupidly aggressive hop attack, Hop Massacre, but what do I know? I just drink the stuff. Exceptional IPA.
