A=Deep ruby red, with a very little white head. Some white lacing

S=Lots of honey some cinnamon and sweet malts.

T= Taste starts off with honey and sweet malts. The beer finishes with lots of holiday spices, especially cinnamon.

M= Medium bodied beer, which surprised be due to the ABV. This beer is dangerously drinkable!

D= This is a great beer, very drinkable!

Had on tap in a pint glass at Fat Heads North Olmsted for Christmas in July.

A: Pours a deep red color, with only a small amount of head or lacing.

S: The smell is sweet and spicy, with honey and cinnamon dominating the nose.

T: taste is of malts and honey up front, with the holiday spices coming through in the finish, as well as a nice winter warmer warmth that carries through.

M: mouthfeel was actually a little thin, probably the least impressive aspect of the beer.

D: this beer was dangerously drinkable at 7%. If I hadn't wanted to move on to try other beers on the menu, I could have had several more of these and been quite happy and toasty.

This pours amberish brown, leaving little head. Not cloudy.

Smells good like Christmas spices - I actually pick up cinnamon mostly, but there is beer stuff too like hops and malts lurking.

Taste is nice and rich, malty and spicy - a bit of alcohol comes through too.

mouthfeel is pretty good - but get it while its cooler, as it warms it flattens out.

The finish is clean, and an alcohol swipe cleans the pallet.

This is a very drinkable beverage and I highly recommend it. It isn't too sharply spiced as some, but it still has that holiday flavor. Try it!

Pours a crystal clear reddish amber color with a thin half finger slightly off white head which gives to skim. No lace is left on the glass. The aroma is of cinnomon and nutmeg with a hint of piney hops. It smells almost like a pine tree at the end. The taste starts out with some sweet malt and gives way to a big cinnomon taste with a nice nutmeg flavor. The end has a touch of vanilla with a pine tree hop bite. The mouthfeel is moderately carbonated. Overall a very good beer nice big aroma and a nice big flavor to follow the nose a must try.

Enjoyed this on tap at Fat’s head.

A: Pours a dark amber hue with a thin, 1-finger, white head that quickly dissipates into a wispy lace.

S: Spicy malty aroma with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg.

T: Smooth spicy malt flavor with hints of cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg.

M: Medium body and minimal carbonation.

O: Delicious winter warmer – one of the best Christmas’s ales I’ve had.

On tap at the brewery a few hours ago. Review from notes. Poured into a clean, clear glass. From notes at the brewery:

A festive spiced holiday ale that warms the spirit and brings good cheer to all that partake. Cinnamon, ginger, honey, coriander, nutmeg and orange peel spice this ale and capture the flavors and aromas of Christmas. Both naughty and nice at the same, so be good for goodness sake.

A Light brown head over a translucent amber brown with moderate lacing as I sipped.

S Alcohol with malt and distant spices. Maybe some hops.

T Nice depth, spice profile and that medium roast malt. Very good taste. Better than Great Lakes Christmas Ale in my opinion.

M Full, smooth feel, the best feature of this beer. Much smoother than Great Lakes Christmas Ale.

D Good. I could have a few of these with no trouble.

On tap @ Fat Heads Cleveland. Served in a pint glass.

This festive brew is an copper orange color with some yellow and red hints around the edges. The beer has very nice head retention and lace. The beer is relatively clear with just a touch of haze and has very little active carbonation.

The smell is full of sugar and spice and everything nice. Some cinnamon, ginger, honey and nutmeg. A touch of coriander as well. The spices are expressive and really quite well-integrated. If I had to pick one, I'd say the cinnamon was dominant, but the honey and nutmeg really have nice presence too.

The taste follows the smell. Really nice honey and ginger. No noticeable alcohol. Nutmeg and ginger on the backside. Very well spiced without loosing the beer focus. The malt is sweet and grounds the experience.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied with perfect carbonation. The carb gives a touch of an edge then becomes creamy and subdued. The aftertaste is full of sweetness, honey, and a touch of lingering spices. Very drinkable and enjoyable.

A- Pours a light copperish red color with a thin off white head. Head becomes a ring of bubbles around the edge and leaves a bit of spotty lacing.

S- Picking up the typical winter warmer/Christmas ale spices, but nothing over the top. Maybe even a bit lighter than most, but still good.

T- Follows the nose really well. Again maybe a tad lighter in the spices than most others for the style.

M- Medium in both body and carbonation.

O- Very solid and good beer. If your not a huge fan of the spices of the style you might want to try this one as the spice is there but nothing over the top.

Fat Heads Christmas Ale on tap poured into a standard pint glass.

Copper in color with a long lasting off white head, good lacing on the glass.

Smells faintly malty but overall not overpowering.

The brew has a chewey malt profile and a good amount of "holiday spice: cloves, anisseed, and a good helping of spruce.
Medium bodied and full flavored, leaves behind a lot of spice on the tongue in its long, appetizingly spicy finish.

Overall, a well rounded beer that has alot going on. Good for Christmas in July, and for any other occassion.

Dark golden red body below a one inch tall white head. Head retention is the tits, sticky lacing too. A good lookin beer!

Cinnamon, "allspice", some sort of spiced flower.

Subdied but present spices. Has a certain breadiness about it. Drinks lower than the stated 6.7%abv

Smooth, low carbonation. Medium to medium-thin mouthfeel.

Very easy drinking spice Christmas ale here, gets a bump for drinkability. The appearance and aroma are top-tier for the style in my opinion. Glad I got to try it, thanks MaxSpang!

draught served at Fathead's in Pittsburgh

A-deep orangish brown color, thin white head that leaves virtually no lace

S-very light aroma's that give off some cinnamon and a hint of vanilla

T/M-smooth and slightly creamy, there is a fair amount of carbonation that tastes of spice, mostly cinnamon, some nutmeg and a hint of pepper that also has a touch of vanilla

D-pretty tasty, decent mouthfeel, I could have a couple of these.

Had this on 2011-11-25 in Pittsburgh, PA

A - Amber-brown with a 1-finger tan head and mild lacing.

S - Mild light-medium roasted malt and "Christmas" spices. Pretty mild aroma.

T - Ginger, caramel, cinnamon, orange peel, light sourdough. Reminds me of a midly-rum-flavored fruit cake.

M - Light-medium body and medium carbonation. Bubbly.

O - A tasty (but not epic) seasonal.
