Grass medium plus grainy, a bit of bready
Grassy, more grains, medium hoppiness, a bit more dark and rounded leaning like Czech style. Crisp, spicy floral on finish.
The beer is wonderful when pairing with the spicy wings at the Portland brewpub.

Still, clear light gold with a thick persistent white head dying to a creamy blanket leaving a solid sheet of lace.
Buttery biscuit, grass, and semi-sweet corn and cornbread make up this Pilsener's attributes, yet there's also an underlying bitterness, with a frothy soft, silky but light body, finishing dry.

Lots of carbonation at the beginning with steady rise to the top. Small head but stayed with the beer. Had a scent like any lager but with fresh ingredients rather than the old stale smell of BMC's. Hops, yes. As advertised. A good bitter over the tongue, creamy and smooth without the bitter aftertaste you'd believe is coming. I'd say, it tasted as described. A good German Style Pils with an extra dose of hops. If I was in a beer hall with a tankard of this and some snausages, I'd be in a right good mood. Dry, with a good boost of hops that makes a decent sixer.

12 oz bottle into a wine glass.
Appearance: Pours a clearish gold color with some sediment floating around. The head is a finger high, and off-white in shade. Its retention is very good, too, with a consistent texture to boot. Not much lacing is left behind, though. (3.5)
Smell: It's certainly hoppy...but not in that traditionally bitter or grassy sense. I'm picking up strong notes of earth, apricot, and mild sulfur in particular. There is some malt coming through, with a mild sweetness. Very likable aroma here. (3.5)
Taste: Actually, it does seem grassier than the nose suggested - and I'm a-OK with that. It starts off slightly sweet with some bready malt, before gaining some slightly fruity hops in the middle, and a moderately grassy finish. No crazy complexity, just a damn good pils. (3.5)
Mouthfeel: The finish is a little sweeter than I like in my pilsners. Other than that, there is little to complain about. I even learn to enjoy its relative substantialness after a while. Carbonation is slightly low for the style - maybe that's why it seems a little big? (3.5)
Overall: No frills, no surprises, just a hoppier-than-average pilsner that works well. I really shouldn't be surprised that the guys who did Headhunter released a rock-solid beer in an entirely different style. I'd kill to try this one brewery fresh. (3.5)
3.5/5: The hoppiness is right, the maltiness is right...this pilsner is just right in general

Gudenhoppy Pils brewed by Fat Heads Brewery & Saloon, with an ABV 5.30% This brew pours out a nice amber color with a small white head. The smell is rich with grains and hops. You also pick up on a hit of sweetness in the smell of this brew. Now for the taste, it is bold with hops but this brew has a clean finish. The mouthfeel is bold at first with a clean finish. Fat Haeds did a nice job with this brew. Overall I'm giving Gudenhoppy Pils a 3.5 out of 5.
