On tap at Studio 35 on 9/22/12
A) Mostly clear caramel brown. Golden amber highlights. 1/3rd inch head drops to a skim. Ok lace.
S) Buttered bread aroma with soft earthy hops and hints of nuttiness. Maybe some caramel in there. Pretty good.
T) Smooth malts and toasty bread. Moderate hops (for an American version of the style), but not over done.
M) Well-proportioned medium feel. Smooth up top with a gritty bottom. Moderate carbonation. Brief finish.

A-Cloudy light orange, some carbonation, one finger head.
S-Caramel, toffee, wheat, earthy notes as grass.
T-Caramel, malt, toffee, very malty. Earthy, grass, wheat no bitterness.
M-Light not much carbonation and a tad watery.
O-Another average, boring Oktoberfest. Props for having Zicke Zacke Zicke Zacke Hoi Hoi Hoi on the bottles though.

12 ounce bottle into dimpled mug, bottled on 8/7/2013. Pours lightly hazy orange copper color with a 1 finger dense cream colored head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of caramel, pear, apple, toast, biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance of malt and yeast ester notes; and good strength. Taste of caramel, pear, apple, toast, biscuit, light nuttiness, brown sugar, light pepper, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of caramel, light fruits, toast, biscuit, brown sugar, light nuttiness, herbal, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance of caramel/bready malt and yeast ester flavors; with nice robustness and no cloying sweetness after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a moderately creamy, smooth, and lightly crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is very nice Oktoberfest style! All around well balanced and robust malt and yeast ester flavors; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
