Ok wow not sure if they changed the recipe but it's now clocked in at 11.3% and its drinking pretty sweet.

A - Got a 10oz. pour with a nice golden yellow and a half inch of white foamy head. Lacing looks good and carbonation bubbles throughout was a surprise.

S - No real noticeable alcohol in the nose on the nose mostly slight hints of honey, noticeable yeast notes and a slight bit of spicy clove. Maybe hops not sure.

T - The taste floored me as I had no idea it was 11.3! my best guess was a medium line 9. Flavors of mild yeast with touches of clove and fruity hits of lemon. The body is smooth and has little alcohol in the finish. Slight hops as well was surprising.

M - Dangerously drinkable as it drank like a typical triple (8.5) could have tackled the growler but I would be sorry!

Overall I guess all that reviewed this should take a step back and try it again since the new recipe is kick ass. High octane volume with little to no burn and tons of Belgium notes makes this beer a winner.

Pours a hazy orange-ish to yellow color with a white head. In the aroma, a small candy sugar and a touch of malt. In the taste, mellow candy sugar, a decent malt and a note of hops. A small bitterness and a medium bodied mouthfeel, with a semi dry candy sugar in the aftertaste. Quite mellow and an average representation of style.

Enjoyed this on tap at Fat’s head.

A: Pours a copper hue with a foamy, 2-finger, white head that quickly dissipates into a wispy lace.

S: Sweet malty aroma with hints of Belgian candy and yeast.

T: There are a number of complex flavors in this beer. It starts off sweet and malty with hints of Belgian candy and spices. Then the alcoholic hits you along with some fruity overtones.

M: Medium body and minimal carbonation.

O: Great Belgian beer – really strong but easily drinkable.

Pours a deep gold with fine carbonation and a bit of white head. Great clarity and a fine looking brew. Aroma of sweet Belgian yeast, honey and a bit of flowery hop. In the taste, bubblegum, candi sugar, citrus, and a bit of grains. Hardly any heat for a beer this big. Medium to full in body with a sharp carbonation. I like how clean this triple is. Tasty and easy drinking, a fine Belgian style ale.

Cold draft into a 12 oz snifter

A - cloudy rusty bronze color, thin layer of light tan head.

S - Fruity esters; lychee, stone fruit, flowers. Not very forthcoming on the nose --too cold, probably.

T - Well-disguised alcohol. Yeasty esters, lychee, brown sugar, allspice, caramel. Fairly malt forward for a tripel. Drinks more like a quad, in my opinion.

M - medium to full-bodied, creamy, with light, frothy carbonation.

O - decent tripel, but drinks more like a quad. More toward the malt end of the spectrum with less fruit and flowers than I would expect from a tripel. A little heavy for a tripel, also, in my opinion.
