I just returned from my first trip to Fat Heads a few hours ago. Here are my thoughts.
Atmoshphere. Quite good. Very spacious, nice hard wooden tables, visible brew house, huge bar, there might be seating for 500 (?) and beer signage (craft brewery logos painted on walls, coasters from around the world framed and displayed in what unfortunately look like kind of cheap, mass produced frames...but they are pleasant enough and celebrate beer so what the heck...) a small "sports" area with dart boards and "bowling." It felt comfortable there.
Quality. Good, especially in the presentation of the beer.
Service. Just fine. I knew much more about the products than our waitress but that is not a surprise. She was responsive, courteous and smiled a lot.
Selection. 8 of their own beers (a few of them quite good indeed) and something like 20 "guest" beers that included Ommegang Ale 2009, Aventinus (!), North Coast Brother Thelonius, 2 from Avery, NH Mad Hatter, DFH 90 Minute, Gouden Carolous Cuvee van de Keizer, North Coast Old Rasputin, Bell's Oberon, Avery Hog Heaven American Barleywine, Sierra Nevada Southern Hemisphere Harvest, Boulder Beer Co. Flashback Anniversary Ale, Left Hand Sawtooth Ale, Troegs Hop Back Amber ale and Bear Republic Racer 5 IPA.
Food. Alot of fun. Many huuuge and funny named sandwiches and "headwiches" so named because they are roughly the size of your head. Not just big but the food was good.
Value. Four in my group and we had 2 dinners, a bowl of soup, a huge bowl of salad (there was a head of lettuce in the salad) and 11 or 12 beers for $59.09. I think that is inexpensive.

I stopped in with a coworker before heading to the airport to fly home. I'd had their Head Hunter at a bar and wanted to check them out.
What a fantastic atmosphere! The space is huge but every inch is authentic and comfortable. The decor is fantastic. I love their logos. I think it's a great celebration of all of us with fat heads.
The beer lineup was pretty extensive with quite a few of their own and several guests. I went with an IBUsive (fantastic) and a Hippy Sippy IS (good). The menu is huge and so hard to narrow down but I went with the Cuban Burger. Between the burger and fries, the plate was huge. The roll and toppings of the burger were outstanding but unfortunately the burger was overcooked and somewhat dry. But overall I enjoyed the meal.
I can't wait to get back for another visit!
