overall,i really liked going to fathead's.i know the brewmaster is very qualified, and the food was pretty good.the one thing that took away from the experience was the fact that the place feels like it's a chain restaurant, but it is not.the atmosphere is lacking, but overall the beer is great and the food is pretty good.
i had the sorcerer belgian dark and the headhunter ipa during happy hour, which made them a very reasonable price. my mom had the head trip tripel and the hefeweizen, and they were both very good.i had a sample of the voodoo monkey double chocolate stout, and it was very impressive.the bartenders were very friendly and knowledgable about beer, and very friendly and engaging.
my mom and i split an order of kalamari and the bay of pigs sandwich.they have very huge portions, and the "headwiches" are easily split between two people.the potato chips that came with the sandwich were subpar, but the sandwich was good.overally,i think they can improve on the food by tweaking a few minor things and it would make it better.
f0r the price,it was pretty good.i still prefer other cleveland brewpubs, but i will be back here soon enough.

I stopped in with a coworker before heading to the airport to fly home. I'd had their Head Hunter at a bar and wanted to check them out.
What a fantastic atmosphere! The space is huge but every inch is authentic and comfortable. The decor is fantastic. I love their logos. I think it's a great celebration of all of us with fat heads.
The beer lineup was pretty extensive with quite a few of their own and several guests. I went with an IBUsive (fantastic) and a Hippy Sippy IS (good). The menu is huge and so hard to narrow down but I went with the Cuban Burger. Between the burger and fries, the plate was huge. The roll and toppings of the burger were outstanding but unfortunately the burger was overcooked and somewhat dry. But overall I enjoyed the meal.
I can't wait to get back for another visit!
