The 3rd version of the house beer of Restaurant Sorbon in Bromma, brewed at De “Proef” in Belgium.
The colour is amber (18 EBC), the liquid is clear. The low head is airy and off-white, it sinks slowly leaving some lacing.
The smell is very fresh with lots of American hops. Grapefruit marmalade, green grapes, and a mild clean sweetness. The bitterness is smooth.
This beer is all about the hops. There is a sweetness that can be a little sharp, but it is clearly in the background. Exotic fruits (canned exotic fruit salad?). Medium body. The aftertaste is bitter with som bullion and hints of orange peels. The finish adds some passion fruit.
The carbonation is light to medium. Long lasting small bubbles. The liquid is semi-smooth.
A pleasant and tasty APA with lots of hops.
