The best place in around pottsville to get beer. They easly have the bigest slection of crafts and imports.
I never bought a case there that was not fresh and when you buy a cold case its actually nice and cold not like other places where ya get warm beer in the summer anf frozen beer in the winter.
As far as value they are no more expensive than any where else and always have good deals.
There service is also very good and everyone is friendly.
If it were not for brewers' in pottsville I would have to travel to buy my beer or just settle for the same old crap every other beer store sells in the area.

Been here many, many times over the 20+ years I've lived in Pottsville. Conveniently located along RT61 in pottsville. When I first started coming here, craft was practically invisible, it's been gradually making strides. First came the PA breweries, Vcitory, Weyerbacher, Troegs, etc, now many others breweries are finding their way in, Great Lakes, Founders, Southern Tier, etc. They also have an imports section, where a few gems can be found. Hobgoblin is often present.

Large open Warehouse setting, good amount of parking. Ramps and handtrucks available (This is PA, remember, where you can only buy by the case at distributors) Owners go by the names of Big Jack & Little Bob. Other staff are around if you need help. I'm usually left to my own devices.

Quality is improving. As you would expect, Yuengling is all over the place, and probably 85% of the place is macro. But if you go in the entrance and head to the right side corner, there are the stacks of craft. Occasioanlly some cases have sat for a while, so check the BD/BB dates carefully. Seems less of a problem with PA breweries though. Had a pile of Dirt Wolf there only about a month old.

No food, although they occasionally have open house's where some food is available.

Pricing strikes me as reasonable, and prices are clearly marked.

All in all, a very good place to have around. Check it out of you're in the area.

UPDATE: This outlet will close as of 11/15/14. May reopen in a new location TBA. Building being demolished for (another) pharmacy. Like we need another one of those in town. Bummer.

Q: I would rank the quality below average because if you're shopping in the micros section, it is essential that you check the expiration dates. I've seen many higher end cases months past their date. If you know this going in, you can still shop here.

S: Great for helping if you have questions but can't really comment on beer style or taste or really make recommendations.

S: Nice selection for this area, you'll find about 100 different American micros and about the same amount of imports along with all of the macro brews.

V: Their pricing is reasonable, that' never been a complaint of mine.

I went here with my buddy after touring the Yuengling Brewery. The nice ladies at The Yuengling Brewery Gift Shop recommended it. I wanted to try fresh Yuengling and my buddy wanted his Appalachian Brewing Company beer, which they did have but only the Jolly Scott. This place is great though! I have never seen so many craft and Microbreweries, in bulk, in my life! They have just about everything I could think of.
The service was great. We were BSing with one of the workers for about fifteen minutes. He didn't rush us, he knew his beer, answered our questions and recommended a lot of different types of beer.
The prices seemed fair since you had to buy the whole case. Yuengling, of course, was incredibly cheap and fresh! What would you expect; the brewery is a few miles away.
I recommend this place to anyone who is passing through; Hell, I'd even recommend it if you just wanted to take a day trip.

Spent a few days in Pottsville for work and found Brewers Outlet via Beerfly. As with the other review, truely the best "beer distributor" in the area. Saw some others, even stopped at one to compare, looked like a closed down gas station. Brewers is set up like an accual warehouse. Lots of room. Large pallet displays and plenty of parking.

Selection was Very good. Every beer Pa. has to offer, they had. Lots of other craft beers like Stone. Imports were a plenty from Belgum, Ireland, Germany and even Italy.

My first Beer Distributor experiance, as with Pa. beer laws. You gotta buy the case!
So yes I came home with plenty of beer of the same kind, but I felt it was my duty to do so.
I went for the purpose of Yuengling since you can't get that in Ohio. Some eighty bucks later, if you break down the price by sixer pk. Price is reasonable. A deal hint, Buy the case of recycled bottles of Yuengling Premium in a vintage "used" case with a $1.50 bottle depasit for Ten bucks. Not bad I thought.

Here's to Pottsville, Pa. Cheers!!
