Had some of this from my friend who just wanted something dull like a lager. Got at least 4oz to sample so it was worth the review

A - Looks pretty standard lager color. Mild orange mostly yellow with a inch of white head that sticks around.

S - Grains, noble hops, more grain, and bread

T - At first it tasted pretty awesome but after a few sips it really gets boring. Makes me wonder why someone would even order this or the light, pretty much like BMC but with more sweetness underneath the grain.

M - Light to medium. Chug able

D - Well my friend drank it pretty quick so who am I to judge? Better than MGD or any other lager you would find so drink it up!

Pours a clean yellow with orange-ish hints in the color with a white head. In the aroma, a faint light malt, but nothing really going on. In the taste, well, kind of the standard sweet to dry standard Euro lager, however just fresh. A small bite and medium to light bodied mouthfeel, with a semi dry lager like aftertaste. Better flavor than their light, but when in Rome.

LOOK: Pours a perfectly clear gold into a liter mug. White lace is left sticking to the sides if the class. Active carbonation rises busily to the surface.

SMELL: Crisp, crackery malt profile and quite bready.

TASTE: Bready malt and just enough herbal, minty hop character. Bready, fresh tasting malts. Creamy malt character and a light soothing hoppiness. This is a Premium Lager.

FEEL: Lighter bodied, smooth and quite refreshing.

OVERALL: A nice lighter lager from Hofbrauhaus Pittsburgh, but still with ample flavor.

A-Slightly hazed golden yellow with a thick bright white head that reduces to a dense cap and leaves hefty lace.

S-Light biscuit malts and touch of spicy noble hops. Fairly mundane and dull.

T-A well balanced lager--read boring. Slightly grassy/spicy hops sprinkled on top of a base of slightly sweet biscuit malt.

M-Medium-light--clean and crisp. A typical German helles.

D-About as ho-hum as a German Helles can get. Nothing wrong with it but nothing exciting either. Easy to drink but to me dull. Give me something with MORE flavour please.

Draft offering at the Pittsburgh location. The brew appears a clear light yellow color with a white cap that holds fairly decent for the style.

The aroma has suggestions of sweetness that seem like an awkward amount of corn that blends to a neutral grainy quality before buttery diacetyl comes into play. A faint amount of herbal to noble hops are present providing a lightly grassy addition.

The taste is sweet and corn-like with a minor buttery diacetyl note and a sweet grain feel persists into the aftertaste. It has a lingering mild sulfur note into the aftertaste.

This is a light bodied brew with a modest amount of carbonation. It is not the worst in the style but not the best either. An OK offering that I would probably pass on having again.

A translucent, dirty golden colored body. Huge white head that is a bit soapy and has pretty good retention, leaves some lacing.

Aroma is a blend of light lager malt and noble hops. Lightly sweet, and grassy and spicy.

Once again, a pretty well balanced lager. The hops come first, with a great grassy, slightly spicy flavor. The hops give way to slightly crackery lager malts.

Mouthfeel is light and lively.

Considering I always drink this beer by the liter, I have to give it a pretty good drinkability rating.
