This is the Pittsburgh beer. Nice gold color with a thick white head has a bit of banana on the nose. A bubblegum and slight pepper flavor. Finishes a little to dry and acidic for me. Overall a good beer.

Hofbräu Hefe Weizen has a very thick, creamy, off-white head and a hazy gold appearance, which clouds up, following the "swish & pour". Heavy lacing is seen. The aroma is of white wheat and coriander. The flavor is of bubblegum, coriander, white wheat, and minor bitter notes. Hofbräu Hefe Weizen has a low-medium body and a dry finish.

Rich golden orange color, cloudy with a few particles floating around and a decent, thick head. Nose is ripe bananas with a hint of spice and sweet malt. Taste is similar- not a lot of cloves coming through which goes the banana a strong, slightly flat flavor. Has a good mouthfeel with plenty of chew. Overall it's something I would recommend but not go out of my way for. There's a few german hefes that are better balanced.

Pours pale amber with plenty of head to go around. Retains for most of glass leaving behind an abundance of suds. Smell is spices and clove, slight banana. Some wheat and sweet honey like malt. Taste follows suit. Banana was subtle to me, the spice is what really stood out. Very crisp and sharp feel. Excellent refresher after a day in the heat. Will seek out again.

11.2 ounce bottle poured into a tulip glass. I'm not sure this is the right beer, mine isn't from Pittsburgh. It's from the actual Hofbrau in Munich.
L---Slightly cloudy, bright golden color. Two finger head faded slowly down to a ring and left ok lacing. .
S---Strong wheat. Banana, clove, bubblegum.
T---Follows the nose perfectly.
F---Medium/light body. Well carbonated.
O---A classic. Really lets you know what those Germans can do.

I love Euro hefe's and wit biers etc. I grew up in America, so I learned to love slammable, non bitter lagers. This has similar slammable qualities, only, with these German hefe's, you get the whole banana thing. So yummy and you can just drink a ton of em with no offense. This one in particular is my favorite. The strongest banana flavor of any hefe I've tasted. It's like banana bread. Iced wheat glass. Throw the bottle in the freezer for 20 minutes before opening and what you will have is a banana beer exctasy. My favorite. So good. Line em up.

This is one of the top (if not the top) Hefe Weizen out there. Never disappoints. Hint of bananas. Great flavors.

One of my more more favorite Hefeweizens. Nice banana and clove flavors. I would try this again.
