A hearty and enjoyable Belgian Tripel that pours with a hazy golden hue. Thick, foamy head (3/4") on the pour gave way to a thin flat, small, and broken head after a mere 5 minutes. 750ml corked bottle, freshness dated February 5, 2003.
Quite sharp in comparison to similar styled brews like Duinen's Tripel or La Trappe's version of the same, but offers plenty of kick and a pungent aroma and an enjoyable, long lasting aftertaste.
I had this particular bottle stored for about 3 months in a dark cool place and conveniently, the heavy sediment deposit had firmly attached itself to the side of the bottle, making the task of pouring the beer simple with virtually no sediment transfer to the glass.
Worthy of a closer look for those who are Tripel enthusiasts.
