A: Amber-golden colour with a thick and creamy foam head. Noticeably viscous and oily. Good retention and lacing.
S: Belgian style yeast, banana, pears, cane sugar, and a slight biting herbal aroma in the finish. Inviting fruits and yeast.
T: Banana, pears, yeast, slight mineral-herbal finish (which is good), pepper, and hint of lemons. Very appealing with the most noticeable element of this tripel being an emphasis on a dry mineral-herbal-y taste (which is great).
M: Medium bodied with an average carbonation level for style. Slightly oily for the style (wouldn't mind more) with a dry finish (wouldn't mind more).
D: A very good tripel that I would certainly drink again. Having tasted Westmalle last night, I would say that this is not quite on that level yet, but still a great tripel option.
