Poured from the bottle into a tulip glass.

Off the pour there is a lot of snapping sounding carbonation, with a head that barely makes a finger, off white in color and falls slowly in a shampoo foamy appearance. Body has wonderful trails of white rising pinhead carbonation all around, it's like a pinwheel and my glass has stripes practically. Orange amber slightly cloudy body. If the head was better this would be amazing.

Fresh dry pear and juice on the nose, mixing with crisp dry malts. Muted sweetness and a wine like vinous sensation perhaps coming.

Taste is a mix of big yeast punch and apple. Very light and crisp bodied for a tripel in the mouthfeel, but also comes out a bit too wet and watery. Flattened juice box character to this. Luckily not too boozy either.

Overall it's not bad but it's a letdown from the nose entirely and doesn't have the malt density that I like for this style. Hints at crisp at white wine but doesn't quite get there either. The good news is as it warms up it gets a bit better and with a good candy sweetness to come through. This one takes time.

Pours out a nice dark orange in color with a finger white head that dissipated really quick with not lacing, Smell is really sweet that I can only assume is brown Belgian candy sugar. Really not much going on in the nose except real sweetness, Taste is more complex with the Belgian candy sugar, a little tiny bit of booze, and certainly some brown sugar to go with it as well. Mouthfeel is medium thick which is nice for the style. Honestly I don't like the beer as much as the last time I drank it as it just isn't as complex as I would have hoped. this is a great beer but just needs some balance,

Poured from a 750ml into a pint glass on this cold December night.

Appearance - Light golden color with 2 inch collar of foam. Significant lacing on left on the glass.

Smell - Very subtle. Hints of Belgian spices/yeast, sweet, and slight aroma of alcohol.

Taste - Apple, banana, and pepper.

Mouthfeel - Medium body and carbonation.

Overall - Not the best Tripel that I have had, but this is a good beer, decent value, and relatively easy to locate. You could do a lot worse.
