On tap at Max's. An obscure Spanish "session" beer that's <3%ABV? Sure! Also, I'm not really sure this is an IPA.

Straw yellow, no head or lacing, this is a decent looking beer. The nose is very floral with plenty of rose and jasmine. Very fruity with mango and and papaya also present. No real malt character is noticeable. The palate opens fruity , floral and spicy, mild grainy, husky astringency. Dry, spicy, finish, this is quite grainy. Quite herbal as well, this beer is light in body and is crisply carbonated. There's also a strong grainy bitterness that's herbal as well. Solid stuff, quite unique.

Excellent. Different. Subtle notes of grapefruit. Well carbonated. Hops balanced lightly, providing more spice than typical light beer. I had this poured on tap at Smith's Billiards in Springfield, MA. Doesn't taste like a low ABV beer. I ordered two. Not sure what is going on with this beer, some sources on the net seem to say is is no longer being made. I am surprised one of my local joints had it on tap with a slate of regional high gravity beers.

i have never really ever had anything like this, a hyper low alcohol craft pale. its a cool idea, a neat concept, a perfect boat beer, i wish we found this a little fresher, i suspect its been sitting on a warm shelf for awhile, but its cool to try something i have never seen before. despite a little oxidation and hop fade (im sure this wouldnt have a real long shelf life anyway), it has an appealing lightness, crispness, and hoppiness to it that make it distinctive and crushable. minerals and water profile on full display in something as light on the malt side as this is, lighter even than a mild pils type, i dont even get that much grain from it. some grassy noble type hops, a little lime and earthy spice there, flavorful for being so minimal, and when ice cold, it really does refresh. i would love to try this at its peak of freshness, but it has some redeeming value even now. faintly tart and lemony from the hops at the end, i like the mineral profile thats here, and ll the bubbles keep it summery and fast down. cool beer, i love the low alcohol, i like drinking all day...

Pours a hazy, gold color. 5/4 inch head of a white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of strong yeast, floral, citrus, spice, and strong herbal. Fits the style of an American Pale Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. There is also a noticeable dryness. Tastes of strong yeast, floral, citrus, spice, hint of pale malt, hint of wheat, hint of grass, and strong herbal. Overall, great appearance, aroma, body, blend, complexity, bt lacking in feel.

On-tap 8/1/2015 at Armsby Abbey, in Worcester, MA served in a tulip glass.

A: The beer is a very light yellow color, with a short white head that fades quickly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains grassy hops, some citrus and light caramelized malts.

T: The taste starts out with an extremely bitter but not flavorful hops presence. The malt character is very thin and there is very little sweetness. The bitterness mellows out somewhat as you continue to drink the beer but it’s still harsher than most in the style. There is not much balance and the after-taste is likewise bitter.

M: Crisp and but not very smooth, light-to-medium body, medium carbonation, finish is dry and clean.

O: Not very flavorful, goes down ok, not too filling, extremely mild kick, not the best representation of style, I understand that the beer is made to be much lighter than a typical beer in the style, but the lack of both flavor and balance prevents this beer from being very good in my opinion.

Pours a slightly hazy straw yellow color. Quickly dissipating head, good lacing on the glass. Light lemony smell, lemon crispness comes through on the flavor. Smooth feel, easy drinking at sub-3 percent ABV

Short foam head but with good lacing. Light gold slightly cloudy. Smell isn't strong but the hop notes that come in at the end are quite nice. Taste is solid. I'd put this on par with some of the better session ipas. Nice balanced hops with some good bitterness. Banana spice notes as well. Not sure if due to abv but VERY smooth. I'm impressed with this beer.

Hard to review something so far outside of all the beer that has ever passed these lips. But it has the bitter, grassy feel of some sort of Basque wine but without the sweetness of same. It's not as dry as that makes things sound, either. I like it much more than I imagined, and would even get it again.

On draught at The Moan & Dove...
