I hit this place a lot when I am down visitng family & friends & its proximity helps a great deal.
Bigg's is esentially a large grocery store situated between semi-urban and the suburbs. They have wine and cheese tastings on Friday nights and besides that, I know little of the store. The quality is decent and offers a solid choice for any beer geeks tastes.
I cannot provide much insight on the service since I stopped in at 10:45PM and only one register was open. I saw no beverage employees lurking in the aisles.
Selection was solid, from regional micros (Bells, Founders, Mt. Carmel, Goose Island, Great Lakes, etc) to Belgians. A respectable singles shelf also sits at the end of the aisles facing north. The prices were not bad either.

I used to work here in high school before they put in the good beer section. You're unlikely to find anyone here that knows anything at all about craft beer but the guy in the back room that does the ordering knows his stuff.
They have a selection that is frankly awesome. Hoppin Frog, New Holland, Mt. Carmel, Barrelhouse, St. Bernardus, Bells, Moerlein, Great Lakes, Ommegang. Just bought a couple of bottles of Ommegang at $5.50 per.
Bigg's is just about the best grocery store selection imaginable. They even sell individual bottles.
