I have been shopping for beer at this Wegmans location for a several years and the selection keeps getting better. I started with basic dogfish purchases and grew with the store to different rarities from Founders, Stone, etc and beers from all over. I can always find something new to me here and that is getting harder every year. Great selecton for the area and the prices are always inline or cheaper than the national average.

This place has really increased their variety of craft beer lately. Large selection of four packs, six packs and bombers. Mostly the PA craft breweries are well represented here (Troeg's, Victory, Fegley's, Weyerbacher, Sly Fox etc..) A lot of regional craft also here (Bell's and Founder's to name two.) There isn't much in the way of service here. I have never seen anyone offering help here. The prices are very reasonable to downright cheap. They also recently began carrying a nice selection of gift sets also.

When Wegmans added it's beer market last year, it was not too exciting. The selection was decent but, there was nothing extra special.

Over the last few months I have noticed that their selection has really grown and they are specifically stocking more hard to find items now.

Examples: Delirium Tremens/Nocturnum/Noel, Aventinus Weisen-Eisbock, Ayinger Celebrator, Duvel, Chimay white/red/blue, Unibroue - Every single variety, St. Berdardus Abt12/Prior8/Tripel.

These examples are also accompanied by all the Rouge/Stone/Dogfish Head/Samuel Smith/Ommegang/Allagash varieties as well. I have also seen them selling gift packs of Duvel and Chimay with the signature glasses which are very hard to find in this area.

As far as I'm concerned, the selection beats anything else in Lackawanna County and the prices are cheaper than many places that I've shopped at in NY and NJ.

This is my new grocery store since moving to Clarks Summit, so of course I've bought beer here a few times. Selection is very similar to what is carried at the WB store, which means it's ok, but nothing spectacular. They stock the usual suspects, like Victory, Troegs, DFH, Rogue, Sierra Nevada, Stone, etc. I did see Yards here before I saw it anywhere else, and they typically have a decent selection of seasonals. Decent selection if imports, as well, although I consistently find out of date German brews, in particular. I always check dates here because there is definitely some older stock. Really not much in the way of service, but that is no surprise. Prices are reasonable for PA, although it always burns me how things are at least a dollar or two cheaper at Wegmans in NY. Such is life. The best thing about Wegmans' beer selection is convenience - and that is not such a bad thing.

I've only stopped in Wegmans a couple of times to pick up some brew. The first time I wasn't very impressed with the selection, but was informed that the selection would be expanding greatly within a few weeks. Turns out they were right...stopped in last weekend and was impressed with the expansion. Bombers, 750ml corked and caged bottles, four packs, and sixers of some quality brews from Weyerbacher, Troegs, DFH, Founders, Bells, Stone, Rogue, Southern Tier, Samuel Smiths, Chimay, Sly Fox, Victory, etc. I did find some bottles that were old, but for the most part it wasn't too bad. Service was virtually non-existent, but I wasn't expecting much. Prices were in keeping with what I've seen at Jessup Beverage. While I believe in supporting your local bottle shops, Wegmans is worth a stop.

They've been selling bombers, sixers and twelve packs (variety twelve packs also) for about a year here at the Scranton (actually Dickson City)Wegmans. The coolers and shelves of beer are located in the Market Cafe area of the store. All beer must also be paid for at the seperate registers located in the Cafe and each transaction is limited to 192 ounces. I found a few out of date items here - Sly Fox cans, Stone sixers and some older Dogfish beers. Check the dates here. Other brands I noticed were - Bells, Ithaca, Stoudts, Stegmaier, Victory, Saranac, Harpoon, Anchor, Weyerbacher, Appalachian, Unibroue, Troegs, Ommegang, Allagash, Chimay, Brooklyn, Blue Point, Great Divide, North Coast, Rogue, Sierra Nevada, Smuttynose, Southern Tier, Left Hand, Flying Dog, etc. You will find something you like here, no doubt. Service was virtually non existent except for the friendly cashiers. Prices were in line with bottle shops in NJ, MD and some of the more reasonable ones in PA (Abes, Beer Stop, Jessup). Worth a stop.
