This beer has been moved into the regular rotation down at the tasting room, and is now available all over town. The new name is Assassin Caterpillar. It may be my favorite core beer from the local brewer. I highly recommend getting a pint or growler if you are coming through Tallahassee.

Appearance: Medium camel/amber colors. Very dark and inviting for a a Rye beer
4/5
Smell: Refreshing, flowery hops
4/5
Taste: strong, hoppy bite up front, with a dark caramel, light chocolaty backdrop and a very balanced malty backbone
4.5/5
Mouth-feel: slickly smooth, sweet, light syrup
4/5
Overall: a very impressive Ry beer. the Rye malt is perfectly offset by the hops. Instead of both of them making a overly hoppy brew, the beer has its hops and rye flavors working together perfectly.
A well balanced beer and best I've had from a style I long ago dismissed as one I could not like
Highly recommended 4.5/5
