Great location smack bang in the middle of the strip in Fremantle. They've gone for a rustic look with old rail sleepers slapped together to form a lot of the outdoor furniture. Works. Their own year round beers are OK (a rauch, a wheat, a porter, a light lager and a couple of others), they do some seasonals also (they were offering a coconut stout recently which sounded interesting but unfortunately I didnt get around to trying). They put on US craft beer week about a year ago, with a tremendous selection from great breweries like Ballast Point, Green Flash, Firestone Walker, Lost Abbey etc. Unfortunately for them I guess they overestimated how much they'd sell because they still seem to have some leftover kegs a year later. They havent seemed to have re-stocked though since then as the selection has dwindled dramatically. Food is good. Large servings and quality mains. Restaurant prices though. Nice spot to sit, enjoy a pint and take a break from shopping or sightseeing. They sometimes have some live music. They had a traditional German band during Oktoberfest. Check it out.

Right on the strip in Fremantle. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Flights also available. Most of the beers above par. Food good also. Skip Little Creatures and go here instead.

Went on a Tuesday night in March.

Indoor and outdoor areas, we sat outdoors, high tables and stools overlooking the cars doing 'mainies' down the strip. All very nice and well set up in the heart of Freo.

I had the 'set' tasting paddle - all eight Monk beers, includes one seasonal - for $16. Solid to good efforts all round with the Chief (AIPA) a standout. Not sure of the prices of beers on their own but not outlandish.

Food was good, even if the menu was not extensive. I had a veggie Mousaka, plentiful, and heygeebee junior had Fish n Chips, both around low $20 price range and good.

Well worth a visit to eat n drink - rumour has it in some of the other local brew-centric places the food is not so good.
