Gigantic snort of orange right up the nose. Appearance is clear golden amber with plenty of foam in the tall Pilsner glass. Sharp mouthfeel, but also oily, and it gets acidic as you sip. Some malty sweetness adds to the candy sensation.

Rather bitter on top of the intense taste of orange peel. The flavor is intriguing at first couple of sips and then it gets very difficult to drink. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Pioneer Market in La Conner.

2017 edition bottled on 04/21/17. Served in a pint glass. Beer is brassy in color with good clarity and marginal head formation. Interesting and peculiar aroma, smells woodsy to me. Flavor has a sweetness which to my palate is unmistakably familiar as belonging to a Winter Warmer. I'm not sure what acacia chips taste like, but there's a very specific flavor which is by far the most dominant thing, and I wonder if it's that. This beer doesn't taste very citrusy at first, but it washes over the back of my tongue it picks up a distinct orange oil / peel flavor. Actually hop content seems to be quite low. Interesting to try.

Poured into a Pint Defiance tulip. The body is a golden yellow, with a two finger white head. Aromas are very citrusy and perfumey. Flavors are full of juicy citrus fruits with a mild bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied with medium carbonation.

I bought a bottle of Flock Party in a bottle store. Poured in to a pint glass.

Pours a pale gold color, clear, not many bubbles in the glass, thin bubbly white head.

Smell is a sweet fruity smell. Not sure what kind of fruit, just kind of a fruit punch aroma.

Taste is a sweet fruity flavor is front withe a bitter sweet finish kind of like cough medicine. Not great.

Mouthfeel is OK, slightly cloying.

Overall this one isn't a good pale ale. Long on sweet fruity medicine taste, short on carbonation and hop flavor. I probably would not have this again.

I had this beer on-tap in a mug at Special Brews in Lynnwood, WA.

Appearance: light orange hue with a light haze and moderate effervescence.

Smell: lightly sweet with a dash of citrus; it's actually really mellow. I usually look for a little more intensity in this style.

Taste: sweet and very orangey; there's a definite creamsicle flavor up front which fades into a more bitter, orange-peel-and-hops character. I like it, but it does have kind of a harsh dynamic.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and creaminess, especially for the style.

Overall: not a bad beer, but not one I would want to drink a ton of.
