I've had the pleasure of visiting the Balefire many times. They always have twelve rotating taps with local and non-local/export craft beer. Lots of wine on tap which is great for non-beer loving wives/girlfriends. They also have a descent selection of bottles for onsite consumption but no longer allow "take out" because they are currently serving liquor (scotch). I have on more than one occasion found a nice gem in their bottle selection. Food selection is very slim and is hit or miss. I love the fact that Balefire offers half pints on all their beers and am happy to have them in the north end of Seattle. I reccomend stopping by if in the area.

I've been here a 8-10 times and I like this place. They generally have of interesting selection of local, regional, and international beers on tap. They seem to make an effort to provide a variety of styles and put some unusual beers on tap.
They have some good prices during Happy Hour and have a "kill-the-keg" night on Weds where they offer good deals.
Offer beer on tap and carry some bottled beer too. Also have quite a bit of wine on tap, so a good place for beer lovers to take wine-snob wives. Limited food, but what I've had has always been tasty.
One of the few bars north of Seattle with a decent selection.
