Brewed with the finest two-row malted barley and German variety hops, Ghost River Golden’s mellow, refreshing character is accentuated by Memphis’ soft water. Munich and caramel malts give this beer enough sweetness to balance the crisp, dry finish.

Had it from a can at a hotel bar while passing through Jackson, TN. The can was pretty cool.

The beer ok. Golden yellow color with thin head and little lacing. Taste is bland but there is a hint of citrus and maybe a bit of honey. Not something I would seek out in the Memphis area.

a totally drinkable and completely innocuous session ale from a pretty overrated memphis brewery. pours a fine pale gold color with about an inch of white head, tastes and smells of hops and barley, and feels carbonated and watery in the mouth. pretty good and pretty unsurprising.

Picked this up on my trip at a Walmart, never having a beer from Tennessee before. While not a great beer, this wasn't bad on it's own and wasn't as weak as other examples of the style that I've had before. Felt like a Pilsener as much as a Kolsch given how filling it was but at the end of the day, this was a laid back brew that was pretty unpretentious in every sense of the word.

Nice golden pour to this with enough head that quickly settled down. Not a lot of soapy lacing was left behind but there were a few faint rings on the inside of my pint glass. Lots of grain, straw, and spicy bread in the nose with all of those present in the taste as well. Biscuits and bread abound here with earthy spiciness thrown into the mix as well. Not a lot of malt but the body was quite full on this as there was a pretty chewy mouthfeel here. A clean and slightly warming finish rounded things out as this easily went down...

I don't know if I've ever had a beer with so little alcohol in it as this had, as it would be easy to down all six bottles at once. One at a time was plenty as there wasn't anything wrong with this. Great for a laid-back day though it did need a chaser of water in the end, due to it's lingering dryness...

Mississippi's finest. Golden in color. Clear in appearance. This gold was light and crisp. Nicely carbed and thin bodied. Easy drinking. Wasn't anything special but it's nice on a hot day. I would drink this over any macro any day.

A: Dark orange in certain lighting, mostly dark and golden. Foamy white head that leaves fine lacing down the glass.
S: Oktoberfest malt smells.
T: A little graininess in the front with a nice Oktoberfest style malty finish.
M: Light and slick.
O: Really good Kolsch. I'd highly recommend it if you want a balanced Memphis beer.
