Poured into a branded glass while in Holland.

A – Cherry red colour like the cheap cherryade that you get in the local supermarket. No head raised from this one at all but there is a lot of CO2 activity in the glass.

S – Pretty heavy cherry smell, with light notes of raspberry and apple.

T – A very sour flavour to this. Mostly cherry and raspberry but the cherry definitely dominates. The apple that was in the nose is now swamped out.

MF – Really very thin with a CO2 tingle.

O – This one is fine. It does its job but it is not amazing. In my opinion it is slightly below average and is a bit of a let-down.

Bottle at Pannenkoekenrestaurant Oude Mueller, Utrecht, Netherlands

A: The beer is clear dark rosé in color and has a light to moderate amount of carbonation. It poured with a thin pink head that died down and left a collar around the sides of the glass.
S: The smell is very sweet and has aromas of strawberries.
T: Like the smell, the taste is a little sweet and has light flavors of strawberry syrup.
M: It feels light-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is easy to drink and wasn't as sweet as some of the other rosé beers I have had, but it is the sweetness that prevents this from being thirst quenching.

Poured from a 0,25 cl bottle. Strong artificial fruity taste, colour is clear bright red. Medium pinkish head. Lightly carbonated, taste is thin, and one of strawberry juice. It leaves you with a taste of cough syrup or other medicine for kids. Only way for me to drink it again is if it was provided free and I was all out of money to buy a proper beer.

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle.

The beer pours a light pink color with a white head. The aroma is very nice. I get some strawberries and some sugar, as well as a lot of flowery and perfume notes. The beer smells a lot like rose water with strawberries added. The flavor is sweet strawberries with just a little bit of tartness mixed in. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

From my notes 6/5/2007 pours one-finger white head that fades quickly to a ring leaving some lace. Interesting nearly cloudy red color. Sweet strawberry nose. Light-medium carbonation and light bodied. Flavor is sweet strawberry and wheat, squeaky clean finish. Good summer beer. Best by Nov 15, 2007. €3.95 ($5.41) for a 250ml bottle from Novotel Irish Pub Amsterdam, NL.
