The appearance is a solid, honey-amber colored hue with a very thick, fluffy, white head. Caramel malt and pine sap aromas make up the bulk of the aroma. Toasted grain with a balanced and complementary hop bitterness make up the bulk of the flavor; toffee. Medium bodied with a smooth, silky mouthfeel.

I picked up this bottle along with an assortment of other regional beers while traveling through Missouri a month ago. This DIPA is a nice find and something I'd gladly revisit. At 9.0% ABV, it's a biggin' yet there is no boozy quality noted and the malt and hop components balance out well. This beer definitely comes across more malt-forward overall with the hop profile being more of a bittering counterpoint. Not a west coast hop bomb but still unmistakeably an IPA-styled brew. Very good...

This poured out as a slightly hazy orange color with a nice white head on top. The retention is good as well as some lacing on the glass. The smell of some moderate hops on the nose.. a mix of earthy and citrusy. There is a bit of malt sweetness as well. The taste has a bit of pale malts and a touch of spicy citrus in the finish. The mouthfeel is pretty thick, it's got a good body to it with a decent amount of carbonation. There is a bit of boozy heat too on this which is kind of surprising. Overall I thought this was a pretty good DIPA. Not the best by any means but still not bad.

Kind of an odd find at Harris Teeter today.Poured into a nonic a dull honey orange color with a nice sticky half finger slight off white head that leftsome chunks of foam as it settled slowly into a frothy mass.Alot of sugar sweetness in the nose along with some drunken apricot and oarange-like hops.Has a nice full creamy feel and it glides down easily.Flavors are on the sweet side with deep caramel and sugary sweetness,a little more sweetness from the alcohol comes into play as well, hops are pretty subdued for a 93 IBU beer, some apricots and orange rind lingers. It's not a bad beer but to me miscategorized by the brewery with it's flavor profile.Okay but not anything to see out in my opinion.

Amber hued with a fairly hazy complexion. An inch thick eggshell white head resting on top. Light Brussels lacing. Hop aroma is somewhat earthy and dominates the nose. The taste is earthy to somewhat piney hops. There's plenty of malt to back up the hop presence. The mouth is a bit chalky but fairly easy to quaff considering the strength.

pours out a golden thick beer , with a light 1 finger thick head .Smells surprisingly balanced, sweet and hoppy. Taste is also balanced, advertised as 93 IBU theres plenty of malt sweetness to keep everything in check. Mouthfeel is nice and thick, something i expect in a heavy beer such as this. Overall a good DIPA, priced right, something to have once in a while.

very nice appearance...sticky, beautiful lacing that looks like splash marks...thick then thins out in a sort of fractal manner. nice. deep golden color...more opaque-ish than hazy.

very sweet pronounced nose. hops, yeah, but more like nitro-malts.

taste: very 'balanced'...for a split second...hops and malts pretty much 50-50. but the lightspeed transition to finish falls apart....the hops depart and the sweetness takes over. and it lingers. the nose really suggests the taste that follows...this is the last bottle from the 6-pack and so it's is my last visit to the Crown Valley Saloon for the moment. and--at bottle #6--it's still a bit too sweet and sticky. rather cloying. if anything this needs to be paired with food. it did go well the other day with hashbrowns-n-eggs the other day. just too sweet for my taste. on target sort of with regards to style, but it's a matter of balance. the taste makes it feel thick, but it's really rather thin and easily quaffable. be careful at that ABV...overall, worth trying a bottle to compare. don't waste it on the 6 pack or more unless you like sweetness. there's just not enough hop blast here to make it worth it. maybe it needs a slice of orange.

Not super high on this brewery, but every once in a while they do alright...

Pours an effervescent honey color with 3 fingers of cream colored head. Superior head retention & near perfect lacing, plus a touch hazy

S: Breadyness & grassiness, pears & pineapples plus fusel alcohol

T: Much maltyness, faint pineyness & orange hop notes up front, a touch of honey malt & some pineapple & pear. Dryness, nice cakey maltyness, slight boozeyness & nice tropical fruittyness as this warms. Finishes with doughyness, pineapple, grassiness & some boozeyness, plus a touch of aspirin & much orchard fruit

MF: Chewy with slight carbonation, some stickyness. Nicely balanced, starts thinning out as it warms

Drinks fairly easy, way better than I expected. Not great for the style, but well worth a try. On the edge of being good, needs a little more finesse, a little less sledge hammer

Redder in color than expected. The Brewery's description hooked me with the talk of hops, hops , and hops but their flavor is quite light. Good but light considering the wonderful hoppy aroma. Feels real good in your mouth and on the way down. Absolutely no citrusy tastes so I'll not be too interested in another.

Just picked this up to try based on price point. At 8.99 a sixer I had very low expectations. Those were quickly surpassed when I first popped the cap. I drank it warm (60-65) per the bottle's request. The aroma was very nice with lots of piney and citrusy hops. Poured great, very effervescent, with a moderately lasting head. Taste was great: lots of malt, lots of hops, just a good balance going on. The 93 IBU's are nicely set off by a sweet, deep malty character. This beer feels great going down, and the 9% abv is dangerously hidden. I will definitely be picking more up soon!
