Notes/Commercial Description:
"Seven is our most aromatic beer. The brewery's saison yeast is fully expressed in the aroma with lots of fruitiness while the hops provide light spice notes. The beer has some heft mid-palette but finishes dry with a lightly lingering bitterness. Seven is satisfying on its own but pairs great with a variety of typically fragrant cuisines such as Thai or Indian."

Malts: organic pale, pilsener, organic munich
Hops: magnum, mt.rainier, hallertauer mittelfrüh, liberty

750ml bottle shared with friends on 9/20/11.

A - Hazy, almost cloudy peach-colored liquid with a frothy, short statured head on top that produced a splash of lace around the rim of the glass.

S - Melon flesh, floral notes and a hint of grassy hops comprise the base aroma, while a mild spicy yeast character lurks in the background. Honey sweetness and a slight waft of alcohol round out the nose.

T - Citrus fruit, fresh cut grass and floral notes provide ample bitterness for the style, although there is a fair amount of honey sweetness to balance. The yeast presence is noticeable, but offers only minimal spiciness. The citrus character really opens up in the backend with a touch of sharper grassy notes and subtle barnyard and hay.

M - Light to medium bodied with mild carbonation and a hint of bristle on the tongue. Finishes with moderate bitterness and a crisp, dry bite on the palate.

D - Fine saison with a fruity, citrusy flair and nice balance of sweet, bitter and spicy attributes. Nice first impression of this brewery.

A - A cloudy dull orange beer, massive head out of the bottle, very foamy.

S - A very refreshing, clean citrus smell, great hop smell balances it all out.

T - The taste lives up to the nose on this one, very clean, hoppy front, citrus flavor throughout, great pine finish.

M - Very bubbly at the start, somewhat bitter after.

O - Awesome brew, first beer I've tried by this brewery, will try them all, and this one again. Definitely a must try.
