I had this at the August 2012 Baltimore BA get together. Poured from the bottle into a tasting snifter.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy golden/yellow color with a layer of white head that goes away completely.

Smell: Light and crisp. I'm getting some white grapes along with herbs.

Taste: This is a really light beer. Mild herbs and a hint of salt. Some citrus in the background, but definitely not dominant. The finish is rather herbal.

Mouthfeel: Medium body with aggressive carbonation and a dry finish.

Overall: I would have this one again. Light and crisp. Enough salt to taste it, but it didn't dominate all the other flavors.

How the hell is this beer only an 88. If beer advocate did ratings by style this would be a solid 100 in style

Tasting from draft. Beer is unfiltered and hazy. Head is pillowy and off white

Smells clean like a gose. A little coriander but barely (only gave a 4 because goses aren't generally aromatic)

Love love love the texture on this. The lack of filtration adds this nice creamy almost velvety texture that you don't see in traditional goses.

Acid is incredibly well balanced but just enough that it's still distinictly American in style. Sugar is just enough. That hint of salt makes your mouth salivate and makes the beer brighter. Has a nice soft white peach in the background. The coriander is thoughtful and so subtle that I feel like most people would taste it and think it's familiar but not be able to pinpoint what they're tasting. I don't taste a lot of orange peel like another reviewer but it does remind me of Cointreau

This is not an in your face beer. Uniquely American but European in aim. I think this is my top two all time favorite gose after Westbrook but they're very different from each other. Westbrook is more traditional in aim and cleaner with a more watery texture. The salt in the Westbrook gose is also much more prominent which is not very traditional. This is maybe a top 10 all time favorite beer.
