Thanks to Paul for sharing this one at the mini Peach sour tasting.

A: Pours a slightly hazy orange (probably because my pour was from closer to the bottom of the bottle), with a bubbly white head on top, about 1 finger in height. Quick reduction to a ring around the top.

S: Light peaches and apricot upfront with a touch of tartness. Plenty of funk mixed in on the aroma, light vanilla and faint oak. Not as tart as I was hoping.

T: Similar to the aroma, nice peachy flavor mixed with funk. Slightly acidic with a bit of lemon. Slightly floral as well. The oak comes through a little bit with more barnyard funk.

M: Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

O: Quite good, but compared to PnB, just wasn't as good as I was hoping. I think a bit more sour/tartness would really do it wonders.

750 ml bottle poured into Meantime tulip.

A: A pale, clear beer with orange highlights. A moderate pour yields about a 1.5 finger, off-white head which slowly recedes but leaves a frothy covering atop the beer. Lacing all the way down the glass.

S: A good amount of lambic funk up front, followed with a definite peach presence. A nice sour tartness is perceptible as well and hints at this one being crisp and dry.

T: Peaches! Juicy and sweet. Not overwhelmingly sour or funky (for my tastes, I could use a bit more in that department). Finishes dry with a lemony sourness and leaves the tongue with lingering funkiness.

M: Effervescent and light bodied. What I would expect from a sour.

O: The peach presence in this one is the real standout and makes for a memorable drinking experience. However, I could stand for the funk and sour qualities to be a bit more pronounced. If I were to acquire another bottle of this, I would lay it down for awhile to see if time brings those out a bit more.

750ml bottle into a 25cl Duvel tulip. Huge thanks to Chris for sharing this, one of my biggest American wants.

A: Clear pale amber body with a thin white head. It takes a very rough pour to get any head at all. Pretty flat.

S: Sour and fruity, with terrific peach, lemon, cherry, and cucumber. Amazing.

T: Lactic sourness, peach, and some lemony tartness. Soft, juicy sweet + sour finish. Easy-drinking and wonderful.

M: Lively, light-bodied. Ok.

O: Fantastic.

Batch 1, into a Cascade globe.

Appearance. pours a nice glowing peach-gold with a little haze and a thin white head.

Smell. Plenty of that nice classic lambic funk, fresh sweet peaches, some nice old oak and even a bit of vanilla. Yum!

Taste. Wow! Just a ton of bright peaches. More peach skin than flesh probably due to the accompanying light tannic woodiness, but enough sweetness to give it a really fresh fruit taste. Very light and soft funkiness goes very well with the fruit. Medium-low level of sourness. Really awesome tasting.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light bodied with low+ carbonation.

Overall. Really digging this one. The big fruit flavour along with the incredibly nice levels of funk, wood, light sweetness and lower acidity make this delicious and easy drinking.

On a side note, I'm absolutely thrilled of the fact that my two year old decided to fill his diaper in a diabolical way as I was half way through this review. Glad to have had a few sips before that filled the room. Ahh, the joy of having kids...
