Similar to the Hop City in Birmingham but with a few less hard to get beers. Probably due to demand in Atlanta vs Birmingham. Still a great selection on draft/growler and even better throughout the store. They do have access to few more brewers (because of GA) than their AL counterpart. Great place.

We visited Hop City in early March of 2014, while we were in town taking a big exam. Naturally we wanted to stock up for after the exam, for the one night we were staying over in the hotel room, so we did our research and found this place to come highly recommended.
We found the place, seemingly right downtown, without much trouble. You park around back and travel up a series of steps and walkways to come to the entrance, on the street side of the shop. You enter into an open space, met first by the stand-alone checkout counter, but the rest of the store is product. Off to the right side there was the wine selection, but the entire left side of the store was dedicated to beer. It was arranged in four to five longitudinally arranged wire shelves, faced back to back, like your typical grocery aisle. There were several other wire displaces offset from this, as well as a cooler to the far back wall. Everything was clean, and no bottles were dusty that we could tell. Most things came in six packs, but we were told that we could single any bottle out, should we so choose.
The staff was very friendly, and we were asked if we needed help from at least three different employees. We finally took the help from the last one, asking if he could recommend some essentials, as we could only take what we were going to drink that night (had only carry-on’s, so nothing could come back with us). We were led to a nice selection of SweetWater, Terrapin, and Westbrook, with numerous other ultra-local offerings. All of the beers were arranged by style, rather than brewery, so it was actually a little hard for us to pin down all the things we were looking for quickly. He was knowledgeable, helpful, eager, and friendly, and we ended up getting about twelve bottles, which made for an interesting, fun, and challenging night, to say the least. We were very happy with the selection, especially since we were able to find some big hitters from the larger regional breweries, as well as some of the smaller, equally as tasty fish. We felt comfortable with the prices too, and would recommend this bottle shop to anyone just passing through looking to get a good taste of Georgia.

If you want it…they will get it.
They know their stuff. They keep the stock moving. I was very pleased.
Great belgium selection, they also have wine and mead. One of the better cider selections I've seen which helps the GF crowds.
They sell a little glassware, I would like to see more…hard to find glasses sometimes…but I can't fault them for this.
Check them out first for all your beer needs…my bet is they will make it happen. ATL is very lucky to have them.
