smells like a dubbel with honey and breadiness. The taste maintains a lot of the same qualities with a decent amount of honey and light florals thrown in. A decent beach beer, but I have had better in the style. (213 characters)

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a golden/orange color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is floral, some honey as well. Taste is light hops, wheat, some hibiscus, a bit unusual. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is not a bad beer, but not really my thing. (266 characters)

What a curiosity this one is! I know that it was part of a recent in-person trade with tone77, but I wonder how he scored it since it is apparently brewed specifically for Seacrets. It then fell into the backlog because there was not an approved pic and I will not usually knowingly open a beer until I can get one on file. This also helps to contribute to the backlog as the approval process is spotty and needs to be streamlined. Ah well.

From the bottle: "Ale brewed with honey and hibiscus".

I was caught off-guard when I began the pour because it acted like soda pop and fizzed mightily! The finger of fizzy, off-white head dissipated almost as quickly as I could pour it. I was left with a glassful of fizzy, cloudy, pinkish-orange liquid (SRM = N/A). Hmmm. Nose smelled of both honey and a flowery, perfume-like sweetness. I am not sure that I could have identified it as "hibiscus", but it was definitely present. Mouthfeel was thin-to-medium. The taste was very much of that flowery perfume-like odor, but also with a slight tangy bitterness. It was definitely a Summer beer - light, airy, refreshing, not a lot of bitterness per se other than that tang. Finish was semi-dry, refreshing, but a little too flowery for my tastes. (1,238 characters)

On tap at Kloby's in Laurel, MD.

A - Medium to dark copper color, totally not expected for a pale ale, no lacing retention, no carbination.

S - Overall aroma is on the lighter side, crisp tropical character that favors the floral side with some sweeter, heavier mango aroma.

T - Tropical floral with almost cloying mango and a sugary lingering fruit finish.

M - Medium body with a wet, semi-dry finish.

O - Glad to have tried this but dark for the style, a little too fruit cloying, and a little thick. (507 characters)

I purchased this at Anthony's in Ocean City, MD, enjoyed chilled in a willybecker.

The color is deep golden with amber hue and light haze with white head that drops to a ring. The smell is sweet with honey aroma and toasted wheat scent with light sweet quality with yeast augmenting and gently floral with creamy note. The feel is very light yet fruity with tangy yeast and medium carbonation with semi-dry finish with almost no bitterness.

The taste has a good malt flavor up front which leads to a lightly fruity and mild honey flavor with gentle floral and somewhat tangy note from the hibiscus in the background. The mild sweetness from the honey lingers in the finish. Overall A pretty good sessionable summer beer, not extremely complex but a good alternative to some simililar in the style with above average honey wheat flavor --good to try. (853 characters)

12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass

A- A clear amber color with a small white that disappears almost immediately.

S- Hibiscus, wheat, some pale malts, touch of honey.

T- Wheat, hibiscus, sweet malts, some honey.

M- Pretty smooth and easy to drink, but carbonation is too high.

O- This is an average beer and easy to drink. I feel that if I was at the beach on a hot day I would enjoy this much more than I am right now at home and indoors. (446 characters)
