Thanks to larryi86 for this 12oz bottle. Poured into a pint glass.
A- Hazy golden-orange. Moderate pour produced a two finger white head. Head dissipates throughout drink into a thin covering of lace. No lacing on the glass. Plenty of visible carbonation.
S- Some citrus hops, caramel malt, but nothing all that strong. Is a mild smelling beer without much note.
T- Pretty astringent. Some caramel malt at the front followed by a bitterness that doesn't come from any hop. Some musty flavor comes through at the end that sort of taste like hay.
M- Medium body that has the correct amount of carbonation for an APA. No off flavors linger, which is surprising considering the off flavors that are present during the drink.
D- I really like most Evolution beers, so I was really disappointed that I didn't like this one. The off flavors make this a hard beer to drink, but I am going to give it another try all the same.
