A very thin head of a strong ivory color. Dissipates rapidly with weak lacing. Color of body is a deep brown with a hint of amber.
A rich malty aroma with caramel undertones, but that's about all I'm getting here.
Taste -- a sensational caramel blast with fruity undertones and a rapidly accelerating bitter hop flavor. Bitter hops are sharp on full impact but fade as quickly as they appeared -- although a lasting bitterness remains nicely. Although the hops are strong, they lack the eclectic flavor of, say, a Dogfish 60 minute or Stone IPA. Nevertheless, this is a flavorful beer accentuated by the well balanced hops and malt foundation.
Mouthfeel is smooth overall but carbonation is a bit strong for my taste.
Drinkibility is good. This IPA goes down smooth with viscosity slightly on the weak side. I perfer a more viscous IPA.
I am pleasantly surprised here. This beer is somewhat unique in its initial blast of flavor followed by the accelerating hop sensation. I think the beer would have greatly benefitted by a slightly more eclectic hop flavor and a more viscous mouthfeel. But overall an impressive IPA.

12oz brown bottle.
Clear dark amber hue, not a peep from the head so the head stays a head and does not crackle to lacing until several sips are taken. Smells of grapefruit, tangerines, pipe tobacco and peppermint from the hops ... hint of toasted bread in the back. Super smooth with an oily hop slickness on the tongue. Perhaps not a huge bitterness, it does have a sting to it, the flavor is quite vast with floral, citric, minty and leafy flavors. Hint of grapefruit rind? The maltiness at least puts its foot in the door with a well rounded toasted bread flavor. Alcohol is noticeable with fruity esters and warmth but not hot at all.
Delicious comes to mind, a bit of a slow sipper as there is a lot going on here ... a well put together ale.

Poured from a 12 oz brown bottle. Best by Mar 2013 notched onto the side of the label. Picked up by a friend at Stateline on the MD/DE border
A: Hazed medium amber, loose medium khaki head, that leaves ample scattered bits of lace.
S: Grapefruit dominates.
T: Hoppy brew, more grapefruit. Smooth and tasty IPA.
M: Pleasant on the tongue and coating the mouth. The body is medium and the carbonation is on point for the style.
O: Highly enjoyable AIPA. Another well crafted beer from Evolution. This is my first time trying the Evolution beers and so far, I'm impressed

Grabbed a sixer from Stateline at the recommendation of fellow BA BeerThursdays, who I fully trust to point me in the right direction.
Pours a clear amber color with a full finger of bright white head. Minimal lacing and the head dissipates rapidly.
Spicy hops up front in the aroma with a hint of citrus.
Flavor is nice. A very safe IPA, but solid. Not pushing any boundaries, which makes this one heck of a session beer for the style. Spicy hops still dominate the flavor profile, but more of a floral (pine) quality lingers in the aftertaste. Biscuit malt rounds out the hops, but definitely leaning towards the hops as it should.
Clean finish and the mouthfeel is fantastic. 6.8% abv is just where it should be.
Thanks to Evolution for dating their bottles, I'll be sure to grab this one when I find myself in MD and look forward to a visit to the brewery real soon. A great first impression.

Poured a darker copper orange color with quite a bit of off-white head. Great lacing as well.
Smell is a mellow consistent hoppy aroma. A hint of spice comes through as well.
Taste is malty throught with a bitter hop finish.
Mouthfeel is medium. This is a nice drinking beer. Pretty refreshing.
Overall a good quality IPA. I enjoyed it quite a bit and would drink again.
