A- Transparent amber colored body. Big, frothy off-white head that lingers around and leaves a lot of lacing.

S- Piney hops, soapy lemon aromas, hint of toasted malt.

T- Really big of piney hops, with the toasted malt sneaking in towards the middle to balance it out. Some citrus flavors right before the toasted malt takes over in the finish.

M- Medium bodied, medium carbonation, coats the palate and lingers around.

O- Good IPA, one of the most pine-forward I have had, but works well. Malty balance makes it really drinkable.

Pours looking nicely. Nose was a very strong pine at first which toned down soon thereafter, but still retained some punch. Flavor is heavy on pine resin. Quite thick. Enough to make it fairly sweet. Feel is good. This is an IPA lover's dream. A nice east coast produced IPA that's bringing muscle.

Wow... this is one damned good IPA! Not only is its hazy, almost murky, golden body with frothy white head amply attractive, the pleasant aroma of orange peel, grapefruit, and honeysuckle tease the senses before placing lips to glass. Upon first taste, the tongue is coated with big ruby red grapefruit flavors, quickly followed with a strong, malty backbone. After a few discriminating slurps, nuances of other flavors peek through: spruce, pine nut, orange rind, and some florals, maybe honeysuckle or agave flower... this tastes like a complex concerto, a Rite of Spring that'd make even Stravinsky proud.

Brought home some bottles from a D.C. area trip. Date on the bottle is a little hard to make out, but I think it's best by March 2013.

Pours with a big, white, bubbly head with lots of lacing that lasts through out. Color is a hazy orange copper. Extremely attractive IPA. Smell is citrus hops.

The taste is very good. Primarily citrus hops, with a moderate biscuit-y malt complement. The finish is especially nice, with a great earthy bitterness in the back of the throat. Mouthfeel is sticky, with carbonation on the low side.

Very well done IPA overall. Would undoubtedly be a regular for me if I lived in the area.
