A - About a finger and a half worth of crisp fizzy off-white colored head with an ever so slightly rocky top comprised of big chunky bubbles... Modest at best retention ultimately yields a full lacing much the same... A slight to moderate bit of briskly paced carbonation rises within... The color is a mix of medium gold and copper with an ever so faint haziness... A slight bit of lacing clings to the glass...

S - A big fruity hop presence right off the bat... A mix of grapefruit and muted pineapple are at the forefront... A rock solid malt base of caramel and toffee help support the hoppiness... Even though this one may lack a bit of the depth and complexity I was hoping for, it is not the less quite delightful...

T - The hop profile is near perfect... They come in waves and layers to make this a truly stellar experience... A bit of citrusy sweetness and tropical fruit to start... A slightly surprising euro / noble hop presence fills the middle... The finish displays an earthy pine character that lingers and satisfies... Lying beneath all of this is a rich malty complexity... Bread crust... Saltine... Graham Crackers... A very little caramel and toffee sweetness... Deep, rich and satisfying... Wow...

M - On the fuller side of medium bodied... Dense from the get go, but not quite thick... Just a touch of lushness throughout... A moderate bit of carbonation with a crisp bite to it... Even and consistent... A very light chalkiness on the finish...

D - This is a textbook rock solid American Double / Imperial IPA that I would gladly welcome in my glass or fridge anytime... Evolution Brewing has come a long way since I first tried one of their offerings... Lot No. 3 is really good, but Lot No. 6 is fantastic... Refreshing and interesting... Surely enough to keep the most avid hop head happy... Truly a tasty little gem...

Recommended by an employee at the Craft Beer Outlet in Philadelphia as an exceptional DIPA.

a: Copper with a finger thick tan head which receded to thick surface foam and dense lacing.

s: Strong citrus

t: Citrus and pine hops over a mild malt base. Bitterness builds on the tongue.

m; Medium with good body.

o: A superior DIPA with plenty of hop flavors.

Thanks to drewone for sharing this one at AndrewK's tasting.

Bottled 3/2013.

Pours a murky honey orange with a foamy beige head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, honey, cardboard, citrus fruit, and citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with honey, cardboard, and citrus zest flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is definitely past its prime but still drinkable and not really all that bad.
