I'm surprised to find this unreviewed so far, as it has generated a following in the region around this brewery. This seasonal light ale is available only through growlers and the occasional draft at one of EVO's circle of pubs and taverns at unpredictable times from June to August.

Rather than a complex sipping brew, this one is straightforwardly drinkable. I find it a very attractive light tan ale, with enough character and hop bite to give it an individual character. Well carbonated but not fizzy, it has a subtle citrus kick, more lemony than the grapefruit of their IPA offerings, and at 4.6 ABV it is decidedly "sessionable" as the name suggests.

It's a craft beer analog to a Michelob Lite -- not a slam, as I used to drink this brand. What I mean is that it does not call attention to itself or insist on being the topic of conversation, but it goes down smoothly and compliments a good meal, ideally a basket of crabs banged and pulled apart on a table covered with brown paper. And, on occasion, one might without threat of desecration even put a little wedge of lemon or lime on the side of a glass offered to a guest.

It's not easy to find but well worth the search.
