L: Crystal clear amber with a sudsy and pillowy white head. Good globs of lacing.
S: Big resiny citrus notes, as well as a mango/pineapple sweetness and a bisciuty malt backbone. A touch of clean alcohol noticeable as well.
T/M: Big bitterness up front, lingers through and is joined by resiny citrus, fresh cut grass, and slightly tropical hop notes. There are some noticeable alcoholic citrus esters as well as alcohol heat. Substantial malt balance and a moderate mouthfeel. It is somewhat sweet towards the middle, but the bitterness and sulfate bite cut that and lead to a dry finish with a lingering bitterness.
Overall: A big ole' San Diego Pale Ale. Lived up to my expectations, perhaps more balanced than I anticipated. However, the hop character is still 'in your face' and the finish is bone dry. I recommend this as an after dinner treat, it will cut through anything.

Small head, disapated quickly. Bunch of white stuff from the rim to the bottom of the glass after all the beer was gone.
Faint smell of a pine needle when you snap it between your fingers.
Leaves a film on your lips like chapstick. That was cool.
Don't really want to write any more words. Just trying to make quota.
