Got this in a trade with mjl21...thanks for another amazing beer Mike!

A- Pours a clear darker golden yellow with tints of orange to it. Nice 1 1/2 finger off white head that leaves some lacing on the sides. This is a fantasic start to what should be a great beer.

S- This has a citrus hop overtone to this. BIg pineapple and grapefruit smells to this beer along with some orange right upfront. Seems to be a little piney hops hiding in the background. I can smell no malts in this at all. I mean I know they are there but the tropical fruitbasket smell is so overpowering. Alcohol is kept at bay as well.

T- Big tropical hoppy dropkick right off the get go. Huge flavors of grapefruit, pineapple, and orange. A piney hop balances it back to a little bitter in the middle of the beer along with some caramel malts that hid themselves well in the nose. Good sweeter hop finish to this beer. I like it a lot and this seems like a very well hop bomb that we all like from time to time.

M- Good medium mouthfeel to this. Carbonation lets the beer march in a fruit parade across the palate. Hoppy resin sits everywhere in your mouth and not just on your tounge and teeth. Hops of course linger making you want to drink more and more of it as quickly as possible.

D- This is a beer I have been waiting for. It picks up everything I like about IPA's and DIPA's and just let's it rip. Perfect beer for someone who needs a big hop bomb but doesn't want it too overly sweet or overly bitter. Perfect hop balance!!!

Bottle poured into glass

Translucent golden orange with no visible carbonation. Thick, billowy white two finger foam cap. Good lacings

Aroma of tropical fruits, citrus and pine.

Smooth on the first sip, bitterness on the back of the tongue. Feel of alcohol, taste of the hops across the tongue. Slight bitter aftertaste but very smooth. No rush of carbonation and has a good balance on the tongue

Another great Ballast Point beer. Grab it if it's within range. Sculpin remains my favorite from this great brewery.

Tawny golden beer topped by a creamy white foam that recedes gradually leaving sheets of lace. Not a big nose, but I'm getting earthy bread, faint lemons, marmelade. Taste pine and resin, honeydew melon, papaya, oranges, lemons. Moderate bitterness with ample malt makes for one of the rarer hop forward yet juicy, wet, refreshing type of balanced brews. Delicious. Firm carbonation, medium body, creamy mouthfeel. A very well crafted, delicious beer. Mild bitter, clean finish. Shocking easy to quaff being 10% ABV. Will buy again.

Had on draft at Slaters 50/50 in tulip on 4/2/14

A-Pours a deep, clear copper, with small head. Decent lacing

S-Strong hop aroma, with some breadiness and citrus.

T-Flavor is slightly bitter, full pine hops, with a surprising sweetness and some distinct floral, citrus notes, strong grapefruit. Liked it a lot

M-mouthfeel is well balance and great carbonation

O-Overall another great beer by Ballast Point.
